Betrayal is difficult to overcome when the trust is gone.

Luca did everything for Fallon. But as the underboss of the Chicago Syndicate, he has an entire organization depending on him, and she is a weakness he can no longer afford.

When Fallon’s life continues to unravel, she will need Luca more than ever, but can she move beyond all the lies and deceit?

The pull of love still ties them together, but their secrets have driven them apart. Even after everything that’s happened, Fallon owns Luca’s heart, but the Chicago Syndicate owns his life.

How can he be with the woman he loves yet still remain loyal to an organization that lives by its own rules, above any law? It’s a choice he can’t afford to make, and when nothing is as it seems, the ultimate decision may mean life or death for Luca.

A romantic suspense.

Review

Holy Craziness!!! Soraya Naomi did such a wonderful job!!! Luca has entered into the list of my book boyfriends! He’s oh so dangerous and I just love it!!!
For Luca is the 2nd book in the Chicago Syndicate series. So it’s highly recommended to read For Fallon before jumping into this book. The story continues where For Fallon left off and the transition was very smooth! I was gripped right into the story by the prologue! Fallon Michaels has just been introduced as a suspect in the murder of Alex Gentry but a note that was left in a security box.
“If anything happens to me, contact Fallon Michaels”
So the intensity is laid on pretty thick by the ending of For Fallon. But as the story continues, the reader sees and feels the heartbreak the characters are going through. Luca and Fallon have dissolved their relationship over, trust. Luca worries he doesn’t really know Fallon and she may be a threat to the Syndicate. While Fallon’s world is so black and white, she struggles with loving a criminal. Both can’t function with one another but the lack of communication also drives a wedge through them.
A lot is going on in this book and it was the perfect amount of angst. There is an excellent mixture of love, sex, action, torture, jealousy and death. Yes I said it, torture comes out to play. I found myself cringing at times, perhaps I’m just a chicken haha. I had connected to the characters in book one and it carried over to For Luca as a constant. Excellent job in the writing, for sure! 5 smooches for For Luca!
