REVIEW:

Hissy Fit kicks off Lani Lynn Vale’s new series, The Southern Gentleman, and I am hooked. Vale introduces a new town in her beloved Texas and a whole host of new characters, and I can’t wait for more of this series! Vale brings it all to the table in this first book, and fills the pages with a few swift kicks to the feels, her quirky sense of humor, an intriguing suspense arc and a steamy romance.

Raleigh Crusie was such an endearing character, I couldn’t help but love her. An incredibly klutzy person prone to all sorts of accidents and injuries, Raleigh, a high school teacher, has been crushing hard on the town golden boy since he was a quarterback a year ahead of her in high school. The problem was he didn’t even see her back then, and Raleigh is certain he doesn’t see her now. Until he does. Ezra McDuff, now a high school teacher as well as the baseball coach, was kicking himself for not noticing Raleigh before now. A good guy and alpha to the core, he falls hard and fast for her.

I loved their sweet and tender romance, and the suspenseful portion of the plot kept me tapping my Kindle furiously. Vale is doing what she does best in this series, and that’s building a new world in Texas for her readers to fall in love with. Five smooches from me for Hissy Fit by Lani Lynn Vale!
