Synopsis

Libby

I found Killian drunk and sprawled out on my lawn like some lost prince. With the face of a god and the arrogance to match, the pest won’t leave. Sexy, charming, and just a little bit dirty, he’s slowly wearing me down, making me crave more.

He could be mine if I dare to claim him. Problem is, the world thinks he’s theirs. How do you keep an idol when everyone is intent on taking him away?

Killian

As lead singer for the biggest rock band in the world, I lived a life of dreams. It all fell apart with one fateful decision. Now everything is in shambles.

Until Liberty. She’s grouchy, a recluse—and kind of cute. Scratch that. When I get my hands on her, she is scorching hot and more addictive than all the fans who’ve screamed my name.

The world is clamoring for me to get back on stage, but I’m not willing to leave her. I’ve got to find away to coax the hermit from her shell and keep her with me. Because, with Libby, everything has changed. Everything.

REVIEW

OK, so here is the deal.  I am usually not a fan of what I like to call Rocker books.  They are honestly just too “rocker” for me.  I don’t have a famous person/musician fantasy like some romance readers out there.  So I was a little worried that I wouldn’t love IDOL.  I mean, look at that cover and synopsis, it pretty much screams rocker.  But I had to give this one a try because Kristan Callihan hasn’t let me down yet and I was hoping IDOL would be the exception to my rocker dislike and I was completely right because I really did love it!

“You ever think about it?”

“What it would be like?  You and me?”

Gah, this book.  So, yes it is a “rockery” book.  The hero is extremely famous and the heroine is a gifted musician hiding her talents and gifts because of insecurities.  So while the theme is very much in the Rock Romance genre, it didn’t matter one lick for me.  Because these characters stole my heart.  The writing spoke to my soul and the actual theme of the romance was so dang amorous that I was totally swoon, even for a certified Rock God.  Killian stole my dang heart y’all!  Hard.

‘Tell her.  Tell her what she is to you.  She’s your lodestone.  You have a fucking map inked on your body, but you are completely lost without her right next to you.  Tell her.’

Sigh girls, sigh.  Killian is amazing but I have to say that sweet, shy, and but blunt Liberty Bell was something to love too.  She had great one liners and was so hilarious but seeing her fall for her music again while falling for Killian too was really something to witness.  She was a heroine I won’t soon forget!

‘He’s going to kill me.  They’ll find me lying on the floor, my heart burst wide open, too full of him to stay in my chest.’

But seriously, best rocker book I’ve ever read. 😉

So hurry and snatch this one up and soon.  I loved it.
