In Her Space by Amie Knight Review

5 SMOOCHES!

SYNOPSIS:

I was reunited with Livingston Montgomery in the broad sunshine of a Carolina morning, right where she belonged; in the light.
It’d been too long since I’d seen her face.
She had changed, but so had I.
I was Adam Nova, reformed bad boy.  Now, successful business man.
I had it all, except for the one person I’d always wanted, and now I was back to claim her.
She was living in the shadows, just a shell of the former girl I knew.
But it didn’t matter that she tried to hide from me in the dark.
I’d follow her into the deepest depths of hell.
I just wanted to be In Her Space.

REVIEW:

In Her Space is the stunning, emotional conclusion to the gut-wrenchingly gorgeous love story of Livingston Montgomery and Adam Nova. Their story begins in Beneath His Stars, the first book in the Stars Duet. Amie Knight left me hanging on a gasp at the end of that book, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one!

Where Beneath His Stars focuses on the beginning of Liv and Adam’s story and how they met and fell in love as teens, In Her Space picks back up with this couple ten years later following a long, painful separation. I went into Beneath His Stars expecting a YA romance, and I could not have been more wrong. Firstly, these characters are old souls, wise well beyond their years, and their sweet and tender romance wasn’t without some heat under those stars. In Her Space takes place ten years down the line when the tables have turned, roles have reversed, and everything is different. Adam and Liv may not be the same star-crossed lovers of their youth, but one thing that hasn’t changed is how much they both still love each other. Knight wove a suspenseful element into this romance that was both tragic and evil, and I was tapping my Kindle just as furiously to get more of that storyline as I was the rekindling of Liv and Adam’s romance.

This is the kind of love story that transcends age and time. Liv and Adam’s love may have been rooted in their youthful hopes and dreams, but even after that long, unavoidable separation, it was the kind of love that held fast and true despite all that happened to and between them and their time apart.  Their reconnection was achingly bittersweet—the love they once shared was still there. But the outside forces were still there, too, plotting and planning, as they worked through their pain.

Amie Knight has outdone herself with this duet and has given her readers a truly memorable, timeless love story in the Stars Duet. I’ve been a fan of her writing since her first book, and I’ve loved every single one since that one, but this duet was something all-together different from her. Sweetly romantic, suspenseful and sexy, Amie Knight has penned a story that moved me, that made me smile, sigh and swoon, and that will stay with me for a long time to come. Five smooches from me!
