5 Smooches!

Synopsis

It started off as a battle of wits. Me: the ordinary girl with a big mouth against Him: the sexy bastard with a big…ego.

I thought I’d hit the jackpot when I was upgraded to first class on my flight to London.

That is until HE sat next to me. Gabriel Scott: handsome as sin, cold as ice. Nothing and no one gets to him. Ever. He’s a legend in his own right, the manager of the biggest rock band in the world, and an arrogant ass who looks down his nose at me.

I thought I’d give him hell for one, long flight. I didn’t expect to like him. I didn’t expect to want him. But the biggest surprise? He wants me too. Only in a way I didn’t see coming.

If I accept his proposal, I leave myself open to falling for the one man I can’t manage. But I’m tempted to say yes. Because the real man beneath those perfect suits and that cool façade just might be the best thing that’s ever happened to me. And I just might be the only one who can melt the ice around his heart.

Let the battle begin…

REVIEW

You guys!  Pay attention!  Because I am about to go freaking crazy over this book and I want everyone to pay attention.  I really enjoyed the first book in this series a lot.  (Even though IDOL is a rocker book, and rocker books aren’t typically my thang)  But this one steps away from the rocker aspect of it all.  It also gives me what I wanted and that is more of Gabriel Scott.  He’s mean, sneaky, and gets what he wants and we learned that right away in IDOL and I thought for sure that the author would make us wait a while longer for his story, but she didn’t and I am so freaking happy about it.

What I didn’t know and what I didn’t expect was Sophie Darling.  Her character was amazing.  She’s done with bull crap in her life.  She has heart.  She has charisma.  She is everything that Gabriel never thought he wanted or needed.  I loved her ability to not put with Grabriel’s mess but to still be there for him in every sense of the word.  She was an amazing character to read and I fell in love with her while falling in love with Gabriel all over again.

There were a couple of things that really pushed this book over the five star mark for me.  The first was the amazing and hilarious banter than happens between Gabriel and Sophie.  God, their conversations made me smile one minute, laugh the next, and then tear up a second later.  It was so fabulously done and I every time they weren’t talking, I found myself looking forward to the moment they would and wondering what they were going to say.

The next thing that made this book AH-MAZING was the slow burn.  Because this burn started off as a tiny flicker and before I knew it I was engulfed in flames and practically begging the author for just a small kiss.  Lord this book had me burning up and when it finally happened and all of my lust driven dreams finally came to fruition it was one of the hottest sex scenes I have ever read in a book.

I’d give this book ten stars if I could.  This is one of my absolute favorites by this author.  Hurry and grab it.
