Stick to your circle.

And never fall in love with anyone on the outside.

Review

I wasn’t sure if going into this book I would like it as much as I like Cambria’s Take It Off series but to be honest I think I liked it even more! It was NA fun gold. I love me an angst ridden New Adult book as much as the next person but sometimes I want to curl up with a book that is an easy read with a ton of great one liners, a plot that keeps me occupied and characters I grow to love. #Nerd had all that and so much more!

“So for the next month, I was to complete random challenges, sleep with a woman they selected, and take a picture as proof. I thought rushing a frat was supposed to be hard.”

Meet football jock and all around super popular guy Romeo and you instantly want to hate him and can’t! He has everything, campus fame, money and looks. He also can have every girl he wants (notice I say every and not any because he does seem to have taken them all.) With all that going on in life it’s no wonder that his grades are slipping and he is in need of a tutor. Enter campus nerd and scholarship student, Rimmel. Forced by her scholarship committee to tutor Romeo she is not very excited about it. Although she clearly recognizes that he is as hot as they come she is determined not to fall for his charms (esp after catching him getting a BJ in the library while he is supposed to be studying with her. When part of rushing his dream frat includes becoming closer to Rimmel he starts to friend her but soon funds there is so much more to her than he could have imagined. Can he go be the person who he is expected to be or can he find the courage to be the true person he is?

“On an emotional level, Romeo was possibly an atomic bomb. He scared me. He scared me more than any guy I’d ever met, even the one from years ago. Maybe because this time I knew whatever piece if me I let him have would never, ever get back. How could I surrender any part of me to him?”

#Nerd was a great easy and fast NA read. I found myself constantly trying to get back to the story wanting to see what would happen next. Every book of Cambria’s I read I seem to love a little bit more. While this book was very different than the previous ones of her it still had the distinct sexiness and style that I have come to love! I can definitely recommend this book to other New Adult lovers like myself!
