Synopsis

Review

No Apologies is told from Graham’s pov. It follows him as he tries to move on from his past and deal with feelings that he hasn’t felt before. Graham appears to be your typical love them and leave them guy, he doesn’t want female company for more than one night. But there is something about sweet little bartender Carly that draws him to her.

Carly is a sweet and innocent bartender, but for unexplainable reasons to Graham he is completely consumed by her. He wants to see her all the time, he wants her in his bed and he knows that he shouldn’t as she isn’t like the other girls he has been with. Carly has her own secrets and her past is far from the fairy tale. She has been hurt and she is slightly damaged from it. But she is strong and is trying in the best way that she knows to move on with her life.

Graham and Carly start a kind of friendship, well when Graham isn’t cutting himself off from her, sleeping with other girls or running away because he got to close. Graham needs to face his past head on. With the help from his friends and Carly, Graham seems to finally be on the right path. This all comes to a head when his past collides in a very dramatic way with his present. A visit to a hotel for him becomes life changing and his world and priorities shift completely.

Carly and Graham work well together, they seem like the couple that will put each other through anything. No matter what they do or say to each other they can’t stay away. They are drawn together and need to be together.

I loved the story of these two. They have both gone through difficult pasts and are trying to find the right way to move forward. Well done Sybil Bartel on a fantastic read.
