Synopsis
When handsome California surf god Lincoln Savage suddenly rolls into Ocean Beach like a rogue wave, shy beauty Simone Bianchi’s foundation is shaken. No longer under the thumb of her domineering father, she’s made a simple quiet life for herself and her fluffy fourteen pound Havanese pup running a surf shop in her hometown of OB. I always check out a book on goodreads before I read it and I loved how this looked! The cover and the synopsis had me so excited. A surfer turned rock star, and a second chance love story!
We start off with Linc and Simone coming face to face after 15 years apart. We then get to live through their relationship and how they got where they were today. My heart was racing so much through the “past” part. I knew the breakup was coming and as the story went on you fall in love with these two together and I really didn’t want it to happen! What they do and go through to be together and you just know you have to go through the pain and heartache with them to get back to the present and for their story to continue!
“None of it worked, though. Nothing was right after you left. Not a fucking thing.”
I’m not a lover of angst. It depends how its done. I’m a hopeless romantic ha! So if there seems like there’s another person that could possibly come between the couple I want to run and hide! There was times I wanted to skip ahead and just find out how its going to turn out for them! But it was seriously so worth it in the end! Within their story there was another little twist that was actually a big one and I didn’t see it coming! I loved it! This was very well done and a perfect second chance romance so this is a solid 4 smooches for me!
