Raising his hand, he flicked his wrist and the covers whisked back. The man beneath was no more aware of the action than a slight shift in the air as a low sigh escaped him and he stretched his body, turning his head on the pillow.

The sight that greeted Alasdair made the hours he’d spent tracking well worth the time. When the human took a breath, the knotted drawstring tie of his linen lounge pants caught his attention. Fuck, that made him want to indulge his carnal side first.

It is absolutely no secretly that I am a big lover of m/m books.  It is also no secret that I love me some Ella Frank.  What many of you may not know is that I adore paranormal books.  Vampires, werewolves, and yes all of that ridiculousness I love.  So, I have to say I knew that reading a m/m paranormal book by Ella Frank was going to be totally epic and IT REALLY WAS!

There is one thing that I feel that I need to address right away;  the hotness factor of this book.  It is freaking scorching.  And not just between the two main characters because this book is obviously a series and many of the other characters were damn sexy too.  Every other scene was panty melting.  I know, I know.  M/M is super steamy anyways but throw in sexy and alpha as hell vampire Alasdair and nerdy Leo and I was done for guys!  Done!  Whew!

‘When Alasdair took a step and lifted his head, his fangs appeared, and all Leo could think was, deadly. . . he’s so fucking deadly, but so damn hot.’

Leo had it right, guys!  Goodness.  But on top of this really sensual relationship you have a fantastic paranormal fantasy of a story.  The book jumps back and forth from the past to the present in Leo’s visions and the whole time you are trying to figure out who is good and who is bad and if anyone is going to die.  God, I was hooked!  This is definitely what I would consider a dark paranormal book but I think that anyone who has read Ella Frank’s Try and enjoyed it will definitely enjoy this one as well.  I don’t know why but for some reason all of Ella’s books read a bit on the dark side.

I really do not want to spoil this book for anyone because it is full of twist and turns and sexy m/m time and I was hooked from page one.  Get ready to meet Alasdair and Leonidas because they are going to rock your world!  And be prepared for a HUGE cliffy.  It has me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book in this series!!!!

“This,” she says, pointing to the trees curving around my wrist. “So random. What do they mean?”

“Home,” I answer instantly. “My house has been surrounded by these trees my whole life. I travel so much, sometimes the only time I can remember is when I’m on a tour bus, traveling down the interstate, brushing my teeth. And this helps me remember.”

We are thrown back into the sexual world of Logan and his escort life as he fulfills another clients fantasy; this time it’s Ava and she is one of Logan’s favorites; sweet and in a sexless marriage all she is looking for is some company and someone to make her feel sexy. Logan, along with a new character to the story, Trey, fulfill her fantasy, along with Logan finally starting to admit that Summer has affected him more than he would admit to before.

Another hot, short, sweet and sexy read about Logan and the sexual fantasies he fulfill for all different types of women. Just like the others this was a hot as sin read but also this was a bit sweeter and more sensual than the others and we delve even deeper into Logan’s feelings for Summer; the innocent virgin.

“She’d made me feel, care and want to protect. I could really fall for her in real life. I shook my head with a wry smile. Who the fuck was I kidding? I had really fallen for her, and the real kicker? She hadn’t had a damn clue.”

Like this novella, a short but sweet review. I’m still in love with Logan, his sexual presence, his dirty mind and his caring and loving personality for not only Summer, but this time, for his client Ava; a favorite of his who he wants to have her own happily ever after. Trey was the new boy on the block. With blonde hair and blue eyes he gave off a boy next door vibe, but definitely a more sexy and smoldering persona. Ava was actually my favorite client of Logan’s as well, and I wanted her to realize her worth!

“His eyes slowly raked my body, the lust in them obvious, and I shivered as Logan’s lips returned to my neck and his hands palmed my tender breasts again. ‘Are you ready to feel both of us working on you at once?”

As the stories go on, I enjoy getting more of a look into Logan’s emotions for Summer and I was eager to read that he may actually be starting to acknowledge that Summer could be the woman to make him stop his escort life. As the stories go on I hope to hear more from Trey and I CANT WAIT for Logan and Summer to meet again!

I never expected to be an author. A massage therapist? Yes. Take over the family construction company? Yes. But an author? No. Writing was something that snuck up on me and rooted itself into my life. It was beautiful to discover that love, and I’m truly grateful to say I’ve found my passion.

Since I’ve always been a creative person, it feels amazing to harness all of that energy and use it to tell a story I love. I enjoy incorporating bits of my real life into the stories I write. What parts are true? Hah. I’ll never tell—what would be the fun in that?

This book. OH MY. This book! I just loved it so heartily that I cannot seem to stop talking about it. I read the first book in this series (all standalones) and was taken by the hilarious antics, sexy alphas and an exciting mystery plot. So going into Hard To Break I assumed I would getting just more of the same tried and tested formula that I still loved. What I got was all of that and a whole lot more. Emotional, dramatic and still mixed with the wit and passion I have come to expect from Bella Jewel Hard To Break was one of the best book I have read recently.

“You’re such a jerk.” I squirmed trying to get out of his grip. He leans down close, until our lips are nearly touching. “And you fucking love it.”

Quinn is struggling to keep her head above water. She is trying to save her families auto repair shop and help her alcoholic dad and failing at both. In walks Tazen Watts who wants to take her shop and make it completely different. Now the shop she has always loved isn’t hers and the man running it is a jerk but Quinn is strong and never gives up. She gives as good as she gets. Even when Tazen and Quinn are fighting and hating each other they have a spark and an attraction. Lines are blurred and boundaries are crossed. AND IT WAS DELICIOUS.

Quinn and Tazen are explosive. From the fighting, to the pranks to the intense and steamy moments I could not put this book down. I loved the first standalone in this series but this one blew that book out of the water. The story was a bit more serious but I found it also to be stronger. There were still plenty of light and funny moments that had me laughing out loud and yet there were also moments that had my eyes watering up and my heart clenching in anxiety. It was superb.

“How do you feel about hair pulling?” My body spasms. God, is it wrong that I think I would seriously love that? I couldn’t imagine anything better than Tazen taking hold of my hair as he drives his cock in and out of my flesh. “I think I would love that.”

With every book of hers I read, Bella Jewel is becoming an author I know I can count on for a fabulous story, amazing characters and some serious toe curling sex and Hard To Break delivered all of that and more. Each book in this series are complete standalones that are unrelated. The women in these books are taking on roles typically held by men. Both books that are out so far are top reads for me but Hard To Break is one I insist you don’t miss!

The soft ding of the elevator stopping on this otherwise quiet floor catches my attention. I practically leap out of my seat, not wanting to be in a position to be talked down to if it is Alexander.

It’s only seven. Most of the employees don’t start rolling in for at least another forty-five minutes, but I know that Alexander is always the first one at the office every morning.

I hold my breath as I hear heavy footsteps head in my direction.

Our gazes meet as soon as he rounds the corner and turns into my office. He’s always so put together, and today is no different as he waltzes toward my desk in his perfectly pressed black suit.
