Review
Ballet has always been a part of Mia Parker’s life. Professional dancer for the New York Ballet Company, Mia took her career seriously. But when one performance alters her future, the choice to go back home and start a dance studio arises. Along with two of her company friends/roommates, they travel to West Trenton, Louisiana. On this trip home, along with the success of the dance studio, falling in love just wasn’t on the agenda for Mia. But through a friend, she meets Jaxson Sinclair, who is a totally hottie. Jaxson has a 5 year old daughter that has undergone a tragedy and with this she hasn’t been herself. So in hopes to get his daughter back, Jaxon enrolls her in the dance studio. Although the attraction is there between these two, they have a few hurdles to overcome.
So I found out that this book, Pointe of Passion, is the first book by Annalie Walker. She has a beautiful way of writing. It drew me in and kept me glued through the book. It even made me stay up way past my bedtime to finish. Characters are written beautifully and I had a connection with each one. I felt for each one of them especially Sophie, Jaxson’s daughter. I just wanted to take her home with me. There are a few steamy scenes and little misunderstandings for Jaxson and Mia, but I just enjoyed reading their love story. 4 definite smooches for Annalie Walker and Pointe of Passion.
