Meghan Quinn’s hilarious and heartwarming holiday romantic comedy, Merry Christmas, You Filthy Animal, delivers all the cozy small-town, rivals-to-lovers charm! When Max, the gruff but endearing owner of his family’s struggling Christmas tree farm, finds himself snowed in with his nemesis Betty, the clever and determined woman helping her uncle open a competing farm, their initial hostility quickly thaws into a riotous battle of wits and unexpected attraction. I listened to the full cast production audiobook, featuring Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor who turned in magnetic performances as Max and Betty. Shane East, Vanessa Edwin, JF Harding and Robert Hatchet round out the cast, elevating this story into an addictively entertaining story.
Quinn uses the characters’ awkwardly charming and witty banter to showcase her signature style of humor. As the blizzard rages outside, the forced proximity inside ignites into a sizzling chemistry that simmers beneath layers of holiday sweaters and competitive spirit and transforms their rivalry into a relationship as magical as the season itself. Packed with laugh-out-loud moments, tender revelations and enough festive cheer to melt even the frostiest of hearts, this story is the perfect seasonal escape!
