Small Town Swoon is the fourth book in Melanie Harlow’s Cherry Harbor series, and it was a captivating read cover-to-cover. Harlow expertly captured the characters’ emotions as she took readers through the intricacies of a brother’s best friend/second-chance romance between Ari, the small-town girl, and Dash, the Hollywood heartthrob. The chemistry between Ari and Dash blazed, and their friends-with-benefits dynamic stoked the fire burning between them and kept me furiously tapping my Kindle.
Melanie’s impeccable storytelling skills brought the backdrop of this small town to life, infusing the setting with charm, warmth, and a nostalgic energy. Dash was a naturally protective hero, and the blossoming romance between him and Ari was heartwarming yet heady, swoony but sweet, and the authentic way this relationship evolved evoked a whirlwind of emotions in me. I laughed, I swooned, my heart soared and it raced as I rooted for Ari and Dash’s love to conquer all. A heart-warming, heat-filled and humorous romance, Small Town Swoon perfectly showcased Harlow’s innate talent for creating endearing characters and crafting their heartfelt love stories.
