5 SMOOCHES!

SYNOPSIS:
As a professional linebacker, I lived and breathed football.
The only thing I loved as much as the game was my twin brother, Max, who kept me almost as busy cleaning up his messes.
The most recent of which landed him behind bars.
So, it shouldn’t have surprised me when a beautiful woman showed up on my doorstep, claiming to be pregnant with Max’s baby.
Glory was unexpected, infuriating, and flat-out crazy most of the time.
But no matter how hard I tried to deny it, that tiny spitfire slammed into my boring life with the strength of a Category 5 hurricane, blowing through my defenses until she’d carved her name in my heart—permanently.
I feared we would never work. She was a single mom, my brother’s ex, and one more chance for me to fail yet another person I loved.
But if football was my church, then Glory was my heaven.

REVIEW:
I love everything about Amie Knight’s unique writing style. She’s animated and meaningful in her storytelling, and her words paint a vibrant picture for her readers. Her characters are endearing and genuine, and their struggles and successes come to life in Amie’s heart-wrenching and moving love stories. The Final Play is an enemies-to-lovers, surprise baby—with a twist—sports romance, and I was all in with Mason and Glory’s romance from the moment she rapped her knuckles on his door.
Mason has weathered a difficult, painful history that still rears its head, and Glory, whose life hasn’t been a whole lot better, is the walking, talking epitome of it. Mason has an enormous, generous heart, and he was so patient, thoughtful, kind and funny. His heart was definitely in the right place when it came to her plight. Glory was such a resilient character. She’s faced hardships alone, picking herself up and working hard to turn it around on her own. In the face of the constant barrage of stumbling blocks life has presented her with, she’s persevered. She’s cautious with her heart, and she was smart and sassy. They were such different personalities, and those differences led to some wonderfully witty banter. The chemistry between the two of them was explosive, but what really touched my heart and made me root for them was the way these two strangers came together to support each other.
Amie Knight’s completely in her element when she’s telling these hard-fought, intense and romantic, slowly-burning, love stories set in the South. Honest, authentic and a bit forbidden, The Final Play was an addictively complex story full of feels, fire, family and the fight for a future. Mason and Glory’s love story pulled on every single one of my heartstrings, and I loved every single moment of their journey. Five smooches from me for The Final Play by Amie Knight!
