REVIEW

“There ain’t no prince charming for a girl like me.”

If you love Kristen Ashley books, like most romance readers do, then you have read ALL of the Rock Chick books.  You devoured them.  You spent countless hours submersing yourself in the world of the Hot Bunch and the girls that give them a run for their money.  And that whole time, you were thinking, but how did Marcus and Daisy meet.  He’s a bad guy.  She’s a good girl.  How did they end up so much in love?  How did she come to wear these crazy clothes and big hair.  How and why?  I know I questioned and when I heard through the grape vine that there would be a Daisy and Marcus novella, I was over the moon.  All of my questions would be answered and it would be a KA novella, which we all know that Kristen Ashley writes hella long books so I was counting on this novella being more the length of average since it’s a Kristen Ashely novella.  And when it appeared on my kindle it was the length of a regular book and I was so excited and stayed up all night devouring it and getting all of my answers.

“I’m not yours,”

“Honey, please start paying attention.”

And I have to tell you guys that this book was nothing like I thought.  It was so emotional and Daisy’s story nearly wrecked me.  I cried with her as a child and cried with her as an adult.  But that wasn’t the surprising part.  We all knew from the Rock Chick books that Daisy had a hard past.  The surprise?  That was Marcus.  Because he wasn’t mean and pushy and too alpha.  He was probably the sweetest, most patient, most tender KA man I ever read and I fell so SO in love with him.

“I’ve been waiting thirty-five years for you to come into my life, Daisy,”

This was one of my favorites in the Rock Chick Series.  And maybe that is because I’ve been waiting so long on it.  Or maybe its because everytime I read one of Kristen Ashley’s books it automatically becomes my new favorite.  Jesus, the woman can write her butt off!
