4 Smooches!
Synopsis
I’m failing.
My younger brother is getting worse, and my job – my duty – is to help him at all costs. We’ve tried everything modern medicine has to offer and nothing works.
Nothing.
Deciding to turn to unconventional treatments, we end up at Fire-on-the-Mountain, a holistic resort deep in the Rockies.
In our search for medical marijuana, I find beautiful, free-spirited Hudson Shavell – a girl who may not only hold the key to heal my brother, but to fix me as well. Even though I can’t afford distractions right now, she’s all I can think about. All that I want.
It’s funny how everything can change with one little SPARK.
Review
This is my very first Erin Noelle book that I have read all on her own. I did happen to read another title by her and SE Hall that I greatly enjoyed but I honestly didn’t know what to expect going into Spark except for that the amazing cover so freaking smoking hot. Whew. I absolutely love it. The beanie, the fire, the smoke…well it just made me really happy. 😉 I am so glad that I decided to give this one a try based on that sexy as all get out cover because I really enjoyed it.
“You should never underestimate the power of a cute boy.”
Ah! Crew is definitely your typical cocky and sexy bad boy book friend but in a lot of ways he is also completely different in just as many ways. He is completely selfless and loving and caring when it comes to his family. Especially his little bro, who suffers from a terrible illness that paves their small families path from Texas to a holistic medical marijuana resort in the Rocky Mountains in search of any kind of relief for his brother. There he meets hippy dippy Hudson Shavell.
“C’mere, baby, I’m ready for that dessert.”
Hudson and Crew have an immediate attraction to each other and Hudson is determined to help Crew’s little brother as much as she can but a series of events unfolds that will change all of their lives forever.
“How I made it through my first nineteen years, I’ll never fucking understand, because my life didn’t start until you entered it.”
This book was completely different than other NA romance novels that I have read. The theme of the story was very deep and poignant but Erin somehow managed to still make some parts funny and the characters snarky and cute. I really enjoyed her writing as well. It is very well done and her descriptions of the people and area made me feel like I was there experiencing this beautiful resort in the mountains with this hippy family. Spark is told from both Hudson and Crew’s point of view and had a very nice HEA!
