4 Smooches!
Synopsis
Brodie Steele is a badass MC dude. Ashe Kingston is a sexy police officer with an attitude. Their bad blood runs deep. But after they hook up at a wild biker week, can they keep their pact? What happens at Bike Week stays at Bike Week. Yeah, right.
Riding out the rough years following a family tragedy, Brodie is still trying to put his life back together when he finds something he never expected with Ashe. She annoys the ever lovin’ hell out of him, and turns him on so much he can’t see straight. He keeps coming back for more.
Ashe isn’t just a hard-nosed police officer. And she wants no part of Brodie outside of their no-strings-attached fling. There’s no way he’s settling-down material but he’s hard to resist with his inked sleeves and rebellious ways, not to mention piercings in places that make Ashe melt. Brodie Steele is dangerous, delicious, and suddenly determined to have her.
If there’s anything more risky than laying his heart on the line for this sexy woman, it’s Ashe’s job. It puts her life in danger in a way he can’t possibly protect her from. Can their hot bond win out over the bad blood of years past? Or will Ashe be taken from Brodie before she lets him into her heart?
Review
Brodie Steele’s story is third book in the Carolina Bad Boys Series and I probably liked this story the very best of all three. I definitely recommend that you read both of the previous books in this series as they all sort of meld together into one big picture even though each book features a different couple.
Now, lets talk about that cover. Whew, it is extremely hot and totally encompasses Brodie. Brodie is a bad-ass but tenderhearted biker who didn’t think he was looking for love until Ashe, the police officer who arrested his sister, shows up at bike week all biker bitched out and ready for some sexy fun! They promise each other one week but of course it turns into much more as neither can stay away from one another but Ashe has a big secret and even bigger insecurities. Will Brodie be able to break through Ashe’s defenses and steel her heart?
“You’ve been through worse than me, Brodie. We’re both survivors.”
I really enjoyed this one. I do love me a good MC story. MC boys just tend to be a bit badder, a bit more dirty, and a lot more forward. Brodie was all of these things and I just found myself loving him.
“I want to be buried inside you. I want to be somebody to you. I want you to respect me. I want breakfasts, and fights, and finding out how annoying you can really be.”
Ashe is also a super bad chick. She is a cool biker/cop hybrid sexy beast of a woman. The kind that takes what she wants and gives as good as she gets.
“It’s in my nature to be badass. You know that. It’s why you like me.”
Aside from Ashe and Brodie’s story you get to visit with everyone from the previous two books in this series a lot. A ton happens to this wonderfully close group of family and friends. Marriages, babies born, deaths. It all makes for a really action-packed read. I enjoyed visiting with the other characters, it was like visiting old friends. I do really like this series. Rie Warren’s writing manages to be funny, heartfelt, sexy, and still really exciting and alive!
