Review
Wow! I really enjoyed this story…although; it took me a while to get into it. I kept rolling my eyes and getting annoyed with Evelyn at the beginning. She is needy and seems to be weak, and I just didn’t enjoy that. HOWEVER, I grew to love her character and understand her better. I ended up being proud of her even.
Storm… what is there to say about Mr. Storm Valentine? Hot, dark, dangerous, delicious, moody, brooding…YES! All of the above! My heart went out to Storm from the beginning. You could see that there was a reason he was the womanizer he chose to be. The more I read, the more I loved him!
The tough romance between Evelyn and Storm was infuriating! I was on the edge of my seat through most of the book. I was glad that Evelyn stood her ground and wasn’t willing to change her morals even though it almost killed her not to! When the time was right for them to be together, it was definitely worth the wait! Firecrackers! I really enjoyed this read!
I look forward to reading more of the Ashes & Embers series by Carian Cole.
