Review

The Price of Love starts off as Kendall is approaching high school graduation. A call to the principal’s office puts Kendall face to face with two police officers giving her the terrible news that her parents have been killed. We then learn the series of tragic events Kendall experienced that lead up to their deaths. Fast forward eight years and Kendall is now living in New York and working as a writer at a magazine. When Kendall meets Tristan there is something so familiar about the billionaire but she just can’t put her finger on it. Tristan has been looking out for Kendall for eight years without her knowledge. But with danger on the horizon he decides to take a more hands on approach!I really enjoyed both Kendall and Tristan as characters, they had great chemistry together and there were plenty of steamy sex scenes. Some of the themes in the beginning seemed a little bit familiar but as things are revealed the story definitely takes a unique turn. This book keeps you guessing and having multiple POV’s allows the reader to have insight from a few different places. The “big secret” is always lurking there in the background and when shit finally hits the fan it gets pretty crazy!! I also really enjoyed the secondary characters; Cassie, Kendall’s best friend and Jax, Tristan’s best friend. These two also had great chemistry and I was really happy to read that they will be getting their own book! Bonus points for a great epilogue.
