Synopsis
The Devil’s Dust MC has a list of new threats to the club’s lifestyle. Dani, to prove her loyalty, is trying to embrace a part of herself that she never knew existed until now. A sinful beast lurking beneath her surface has been awakened and is ready to eliminate anyone that stands in its way. Looking at her stained hands, she rinses the blood from them. She resigns herself to innocence lost and welcomes her thirst for more blood.
After a breathtaking turn of events, Shadow is looking at life in a different perspective. Not knowing who he can trust or who he can forgive has left him feeling desolate and alone. As Shadow is laying behind his rifle, he wonders if he can pull the trigger to eliminate the threat. He takes a deep breath and squeezes the trigger, the rifle recoil ignites the fuel that drives him.

Most people who know me know that I am a self-proclaimed HEA junkie! So when I read the first book in the series, “What Doesn’t Destroy Us”. This was me at the end of the book…
Ever since I got over my lengthy book hangover I have been anticipating the continuation of this story. If you haven’t read the first book, don’t read this review because it might give away some details you don’t want to know! When we last left Shadow and Dani, Dani was being taken away by the FBI and Shadow and the rest of the Devil’s Dust MC were under the impression that Dani had been working undercover the whole time she was with them. After dealing with the FBI Dani makes her way back to the club, but when she arrives she is greeted by a less then warm reception. Will she be able to regain the trust of the club? Will Shadow be able to look past everything that’s happened? Does Dani even want to be a part of this dangerous lifestyle? I don’t want to give anything away but let me just say that you will get all of these answers plus more and will enjoy every minute of it! Like I said in my review of the first book, this is in no way an MC lite book; These bikers are tough, they do illegal things and kill people, this is not a book for the faint of heart but despite it all you really do fall in love with these characters. This story is chock full of danger, suspense, hot sex and plenty of emotion. Shadow and Dani’s story comes to a satisfying conclusion at the end of the book and we even get a glimpse at the future with a great epilogue. Up next in this series is Bobby’s story and I can’t wait!!!
