Synopsis

Standalone M/M romance.

I was afraid to fly.
He made me soar.

After years of climbing the ladder of success in the music industry, I finally had everything I could want.
Yet I still found myself wandering through life alone.

Captain Evan Roth was the one man I never saw coming.
Tall, dark, mysterious… Straight.

We were both damaged beyond repair and searching for something so elusive we weren’t sure it even existed.

But, when two broken souls collide in midair, falling is a given.

I just never expected to crave the spiral down.

Review

Aly Martinez could write anything and I would read it.  And I pretty much do.  I know that some of her fans may be turned off by the fact that this book is of the m/m variety but not me.  I am pretty much down for any romance.  Love is love, man.  And  after reading The Fall Up I was super stoked for Henry’s story.  I mean he is a hilarious gay rock god.  What is not to love?

‘Was I bisexual? Fuck no. My cock was in no way an equal opportunity employer.

I was somewhat bilingual though. I knew how to ask for a blow job in English and Spanish. I pretended that was what he meant.’

I mean, Henry is hilarious in Levee’s book but this time around he really took the cake and had me laughing hysterically out loud.  He really is an amazing character and you can tell that Aly Martinez has a special connection with this one because as a reader I felt so incredibly connected to him. I really loved Evan as well.  It took me a bit to warm up to him because I was in the story with Henry and I felt the way that Evan held us off.  He is quite reserved in the beginning but definitely comes into his own.  Both of these guys were incredibly sweet and sexy and their journey is one that is funny, sensual, and angsty.  You also get to experience Levee and SAM AGAIN.  (sigh)  There are also some new characters introduced that have me way intrigued!  This book did really have a little bit of everything and I actually liked it even better than The Fall Up.

‘Being in love was like a never-ending flight through the clouds. Storms were likely. Turbulence a given. But they didn’t last forever.  The clouds always returned.’

If you love a romcom then I most definitely recommend The Spiral Down.  If you don’t think that maybe you can do the whole m/m thing, then I ask that you open your mind and give Henry and Evan a chance.  There story is one that you do not want to miss.  Go on, let these boys still your heart like they stole mine.

“This doesn’t make you gay, Henry.”

“It just makes you mine.”
