SYNOPSIS:

It started with one night out with the boys.

She was the hot diner waitress putting herself through school.

I was the rich, arrogant player everyone misjudges.

On paper we didn’t match.

Yet all it took was one day. One single day to change her mind.

She wasn’t planning to spend her day off with me.

She wasn’t supposed to fall for my charm.

But one day, one smile, turned into several nights of her calling out my name.

I’m not the guy she should end up with. I’m jealous, possessive. Not here for a long time – just a good time.

She’s changed me.

But, for some reason, I feel her slipping through my fingers and no matter what I do, I fear I’m going to strike out with the one and only girl I’ve ever fallen for.

REVIEW:

Meghan Quinn kicks off 2021 with by taking readers back to Brentwood for another trip around the baseball diamond in The Strike Out. Readers got a peek into Holt and Harmony’s story in the Team Player 2 anthology and have been clamoring for the full story.

I loved Holt for his flirty banter and his big heart, and I loved Harmony for her sassy, snarky wit and the way she made Holt work for her. These two just had it – that connection, that pull, that wonderfully, magnetic chemistry. The whole reason why I’m continually drawn to romance is so I can experience those feelings over and over again. Meghan Quinn delivered that in spades here, and it was a heck of a ride.

Heat-filled, hilarious and heartfelt, The Strike Out took me by surprise in the best of ways. It was sweet, it was swoony, and I simply couldn’t get enough of Holt and Harmony’s love story. Five smooches from me for The Strike Out by Meghan Quinn!
