4 Smooches!
Synopsis
Ellie
All I did was take a few pictures. I didn’t realize I was witnessing a crime.
I was hoping for a kick-ass adventure when I set off on my dream vacation. Instead, I’ve fallen in with a ruthless band of thieves.
Kidnapped, bound, and ordered to submit, I’m stuck on a yacht with a sun-bronzed pirate who caught me photographing his antiquities-smuggling operation. He doesn’t want me tagging along any more than I want to be here. But that hasn’t stopped him from finding a use for me.
Nick
She thinks I’m hard-assed. Dominating. Cruel. But I’ve got a dirty job to do. It has required months of scheming, a billionaire’s yacht, and a shitload of priceless stolen artifacts.
I’m not about to be distracted by one inconvenient redhead. Even if she is supremely fuckable and oh-so-sweet when I have her on her knees.
She probably doesn’t realize it, but I’m doing my best to protect her. There are guys here a lot badder than me. But I can’t allow her to mess up my plans. There’s no place in my life for softer emotions, and no space in my body for a heart.
Review
When photographer Ellie Heath stumbles upon criminal activity, she is kidnapped by the criminals. Modern-day pirates, to be exact. Smuggling artifacts and hiding it from Turkish authorities is one of the many hats our pirates had. There is also a glimpse into the sex trafficking for some pirates, causing a greater fear for Ellie and her life. Smart, witty and strong, Ellie will not give up on her fight for survival. And when she least expects it, romance and Nick blow the doors wide open!
Sea god Nick Gabriel, is gorgeous but he terrified me. His character gave me the goosebumps my mother always warned me about. But I warmed to him and his kinky ways. I just loved how the author peeled back the layers on Nick. Towards the end of the book I couldn’t get enough of him. He was a man on a mission and ,to me, he was like a foreign exotic creature.
Archeological digs, pirates, and adventure is what you’ll be in for. Oh and did I mention the kink? I really enjoyed reading this book. Linda Barlow took me for this crazy ride and there are no complaints on my end. The writing style was great, descriptive in all the right spots. The story gives both Ellie and Nick’s point of view, which I love. The relationship between the two is different. Desperation to get away from the felons is a constant with Ellie, and well Nick too has something up his sleeve. Just when I thought I knew what was going on, I was blown away. I like to dive into a book and get lost in the storyline and Linda did a great job. 4 smooches for Uncover Me by Linda Barlow.
