Synopsis

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines comes the next new adult novel in her beloved Rosemary Beach series, which continues the story of Mase and Reese from When I’m Gone.

The future is bright for Reese Ellis. She has Mase Colt-Manning, the man of her dreams, and a family she didn’t know existed until her long-lost father arrived on her doorstep in Rosemary Beach. After growing up with a cruel mother and abusive stepfather, Reese is eager to get to know the caring and charming man who wants to be a part of her life. Everything is finally falling into place.

While Reese is visiting her new family in Chicago, Mase spends time with his “cousin,” Aida, who has worshipped him since childhood. Though they’re unrelated by blood, Mase and Aida have been raised to think of each other as family. But when Reese returns, she can tell something isn’t quite right with Aida, who clearly resents Reese and excels at manipulative little games. And though Mase is unsuspecting, Reese knows Aida doesn’t love him like a cousin should…

Review

So, When You’re Back is probably like the millionith book in the Rosemary Beach Series.  Sure you can read them all as standalones but that would be a very baD mistake because they are freaking amazing and I actually read the whole series in a couple of days because they are fast reads and I LOVED them.  Frankly, my Abbi obsession is a little frightening but it is all good because I seriously cannot get enough of the woman’s writing.  This whole series is full drama, angst, betrayal, love, and lots and lots of sexy time.  When You’re Back is the second part to Mase and Reese’s story so I definitely recommend reading at least the first book, When I’m Gone.  But do not be dumb…just read the whole series..like I said, amazeballs.

When You’re Back pretty much picks up where When I’m Gone leaves us and Mace and Reese are happily together but now they have to live with pressures of living together and all of the external factors and people who might be in their way towards their happily-ever-after.  Like Captain!  EEP!  Yes, do you remember Captain from Blaire and Rush’s books?  Well this snarky and rude man is back and he is as sexy and demanding as ever.

“But I don’t want to be too far away when he screws up.  He’s got something I want.”

Even though, I love me some mean men I was still rooting for my sweet Mase.  Abbi Glines writes an alpha sweet man like nobody’s business and being a southern girl I always fall hard them.  They are sexy, domineering, but still sensitive.

“That one smile from her could make me feel like a fucking king.  Loving her is worth. . . it’s worth it all.  Living in fear of love isn’t living.”

Mase and Reese have a lot working against this book.  I actually like the second part of this book better than the first.  There was just so much happening and I couldn’t tare myself away from reading.  It had the abbi drama with the added twist of mystery this time.

The Rosemary Beach Series is on of my favorite series out there.  It plays out like a long soap opera in book form.  I love to revisit my favorite characters who have had babies or are changing and meeting new characters to add to this family of people that I have grown to love.  This series has it all and I simply cannot get enough of it.  I am too freakin excited for the next book in this series, Captains, The Best Goodbye.  I will definitely be stalking Abbi while I wait on this one!
