Review

Conspire is not my first S.E. Hall book but it is my first Erin Noelle.  I have a couple of Erin’s books on my kindle but my TBR is so very very long, I haven’t had the chance to read them yet.  I need to bump them up because I really loved Conspire.  It was mysterious and sexy; a definite page turner.

Bryce is on a mission to find out what happened to his brother.  He is dedicated to the task; avoiding all possible distractions.  Until he meets his new boss, Jocelyn Craig.  Jocelyn isn’t immune to Bryce either.  She wants him right away and their flirting is a little funny and a lot outrageous.

I want some Bryce-flavored candy for breakfast, please and thank you.

There is an instant attraction between these two and their chemistry is off the charts; smoking hot!

Bryce wants to be with Jocelyn but all kinds of complications dealing with his brother hold him back.  This book had a heaping ton of the drama I so love, with a good dose of mystery, which is my next love.  But let’s talk about the sexy time, because this needs to be addressed immediately!  Bryce was a sweet heart…so damn sweet, but once he was in “sex it up mode”, all bets were off.  He was domineering and liked to dirty talk.  Whew.

So, basically what I am trying to say is that the sex scenes in this book were AHH-MAZING.  Like melt your panties off amazing.

“Will you still be thinking of that, tasting it tomorrow?”

Um, yes.  I absolutely will. 😉

I really liked that this was a pretty serious story with a very serious subject but the authors managed to still give me some wit.  I really like my angsty stories with funny characters and both Jocelyn and Bryce were damn funny!

“I’ll be at your place tonight, seven sharp, to eat.  You will be wearing that outfit, and by the end of the night, the only thing you’ll be mad about is that I only have one dick to fuck you stupid with.”

Basically, I loved the hell outta this book.  The writing was witty, quirky, and descriptive.  The characters made me fall in love with them.  The story was mysterious and steamy.  Guess you could say it ticked all my boxes!

Synopsis

Ok, wow.  I feel like this series just keeps getting crazier and crazier and the more I read the more drawn in I am.  I literally could not put this book down.  I was pretty much like this most of the book:

Still, I pushed on.  Why?  Because as crazy as it was, I was hooked and I wanted to know what the hell happened and why it happened and who it happened with.  Yep, that is how hella confused I was.  I admit, like Brooke, I am ridiculously pissed off at Jett too!  Even if he hasn’t done anything wrong, quit being so damn secretive, home slice!  You are driving me bonkers!  I kind of want Brooke to go all ninja warrior on his ass and kick the shit out of him!

Love has four letters.

One of you.

One for me.

One for our child.

One for revenge.  Sweet, bitter revenge.

Yes, Brooke.  I am ready for revenge.  Let’s do this!!

A whole heap of things happen this book and absolutely nothing gets resolved!  J.C. Reed is an evil writer genius; keeping me hooked on a story that I have absolutely no idea what the hell is going on!  If anything, I only have more questions after reading this book!  Who are the bad guys?  Who are the good guys?  Why was she drugged?  OMG!  The list goes on and on!  I will say that the sexy time this go around was AH-MAZING.  Like “wake your spouse up in the middle of the night sex” amazing.  These books are positively crazy and J.C. Reed’s writing is captivating and I really love the way she uses words.  Her words make me pay attention.  They are seductive and mysterious, just like the stories.  I know I must sound crazy, but I cannot wait for the next one!

I love the Take It Off series by Cambria Hebert. Each book is a complete standalone and each one I read I seem to love than the last. Trashy was no different! I loved this unique and sexy story. Trashy revolves around Roxie a stripper who only ever really wanted to get out of her small town, Craig her crazy asshole ex-boyfriend and Adam the sexy alpha owner of the strip club.

“Maybe he’s the one you’ve been waiting for. my heart whispered. I couldn’t have been more wrong.”

Craig isn’t just a jerk of an ex he is scary and stalkery.  Lordy this poor girl for being a stripper she really is so innocent,  having only ever been with Craig. Input possessive and protective alpha man Adam and let the sexy times just roll in. After dealing with Craig she really deserved someone like Adam who can love her in the right way with all his being. That being said this is not an easy love story between Roxie and Adam.

Just like with all the other Cambria books I have read this book was a great love story with tons of steam but also full of mystery, drama and angst. It was a riveting read that really left me excited to read more from her. If you read tease (book 2) you will recognize these characters and setting but in no way do you need to read it in order to read this book. All fans of sexy romance books who love a bit of a mystery should definitely give this a try!
