Synopsis

This book follows the story of Korinne and Galen as they get a second chance at love. The story starts of quite heart-breaking with Korinne losing her husband and you get to read the last moments that she had with him. This was quite hard to read because although it was only the start of the book, you could feel the pain of Korinne.

Review

Korinne decides that she is finally ready to leave her parents house and return to where she use to live with her late husband, although she is only moving back to the town they lived in not the home that they shared. While there her best friend Jenna turns up and takes her to a party that is thrown by none other than Korinne’s first love and ex-boyfriend Galen.

Galen never seemed to get over Korinne and never stopped loving her even when she got married and moved on with her life. Galen couldn’t seem to do the same, he just used work as his distraction from feeling. Galen and Korinne separated when she moved away for school, but they didn’t seem to forget each other.

We get to feel everything that the main characters in the book are feeling as we read about Korinne trying to move on, while feeling guilty for being happy and loving Galen again. And reading about Galen giving her the space needed to work through what she needs to. It is hard for Galen as he knows that she is his future, and he knows there isn’t much that he can do to help her. She has to work through it alone.

Once Galen and Korinne are together without the guilt and most of the pain, we get to see why they are such an amazing couple together. We get to see why they get the second chance that they both deserve. There is a twist in the story that was hard to read and completely draws you into the way they feel. The sadness, happiness, hurt and joy.

This was a fantastic read and I look forward to reading more from this author. Well done L.P. Dover on a truly heart-warming read.

Synopsis

This is the story of Pyro and Lana. It is simply the story of how, sometimes, love just isn’t enough.

OMG I almost forgot how much I love being in the Breakneck World! Resenting Me was the perfect way to dive back in. Quick and gritty, Crystal Spears gave us a great reflection of the events from the first book, Seize Me, but this time from the point of views of Lana and Pyro. I knew going in, having read Seize Me, that this was going to be a tough book to read. When I sat down to start I made sure to have plenty of Kleenex and sad music ready. My only regret is being pregnant because I could have really used a large glass of wine!

As difficult of a story as I knew it would be to read I honestly believe that it is a necessity for any Breakneck fan. I have a feeling the insights we get into Pyro’s world will be invaluable as we work our way to his book and story. While much of this story is similar to the events of Seize Me, the emotions, insights and how this affects the characters is completely different.

I want to give this one warning, although if you are a Breakneck Fan I doubt you need it, this is not a happy go lucky story. This is a gritty, raw and at times gruesome story. But in that there is so much love, friendship and loyalty. I loved learning about Lana and Pyro’s backstory and even more so I loved seeing their intimate moments that for me was something that brought the tears flowing! I loved being back in the Breakneck world and cannot wait for more books!

EEK! I was so excited to return to the Peachville world. There is something so special about going back into a magical place that you have gotten lost into time and time again. That being said know that you do not need to read the Peachville High Series in order to read the Sacrifice Me series.

This Serial Series is a bit older (think New Adult not Young Adult) and I feel like I am growing with the town, even with all new characters (along with some old favorites too!) I was literally hooked from page one and devoured the entire season in one sitting. Season One is made up of six episodes with each being only 60-80 pages so if you wanted you could easily break this down into multiple reading sessions.

Sacrifice Me follows a young girl Franki starting on her 21st birthday as she discovers that her life is not as it seems and that there are paranormal elements at all kinds of mysterious corners. Having been distanced from her mother and not really knowing much about herself Franki has a deep desire to find out more about this world but anyone who knows Sarra’s writing knows that all is not all that it seems and nothing is ever going to come too easy.

I honestly loved being in Franki’s world along with a dark and sexy man you will need to read to meet. Sarra’s writing is always supurb and she completely grabs my attention and doesn’t let go till I have read the last page! Hurry up Sarra and write me season 2!

Another fast paced adventure ride in this amazing new MC series from Tess Oliver. That’s what I love most about this thrilling story; the danger and suspense and adventure. There were many times while reading it that I was holding my breath! Angel is drifting, scared and alone, and the worst part is that she believes Luke is dead. Her heart is completely shattered and she is bereft. Leaving all that she has ever known behind, without any real plan to survive is probably not the smartest thing she has ever done. She is fortunate to come across some amazing ladies on her short journey away from Dreygon and the compound, but her past catches up with her.

Luke is busy tying up loose ends, making sure the men that tortured him and Dex are behind bars. He is scrounging around to find Angel and make sure she is safe as well. When he finds out she left the compound and no one knows where she is, he almost goes crazy with worry. He is so in love with her, and the thought of never touching or seeing her again is something that he doesn’t even want to entertain. With the help of his brother Seth and unlikely help from some MC brothers, he goes in search for his lost love.

With the addition of new characters, more development between Luke and his brothers Seth and Gage and the undying love between Luke and Angel, this third installment is a fantastic read! It’s so easy to get lost in the world of the Dreygon and Luke and Angel, that it definitely leaves you wanting more. Tess is an amazing writer, bringing her characters to life seemingly effortlessly.

Can you even imagine finding out the guy you thought was “The One” was really a lying/cheating/bastard-type? Well, that is what Olivia Burke is dealing with. She shuts herself out from men, dating, and pours herself into her work as a psychologist. She is finally persuaded to visit a friend in Seattle while attending a conference.

So, then enter Owen. He’s tired, overworked, and devastated from his lying/cheating/bastard-type ex-fiancé and en route to Seattle for a guy’s weekend. He may be devastated from his ex, but he is also devastatingly hot and all man!

Owen: “You ever have those moments that you know are going to be etched in your mind until the day you die?” (I hope that is what my hubby thought when he first met me!!)

This book was AMAZING! I might be a little biased though? The story revolves around a firefighter and a doctor (she has her Ph.D. ) and I’m a doctor (I have my M.D.) and my husband is a firefighter. From the title “Rescue Breathing”, I knew this book was going to rock. I mean “Rescue Breathing” is a great metaphor for Olivia and Owen. Can they help each other revive their jaded and rusted hearts? Can breathe life into their mundane existences?

So what is so great about this book? Let me give you the list:

• Characters! This author (who is really a duo) does an awesome job at the development of each character, which leads me to..

• Dual POVs: The story is told from both Olivia and Owen’s eyes!! Love that!
• HOT HOT HOT HOT schemxy scenes, like seriously these girls know how to write a romp!! Including firehouse quickies!
• Emotion: Each character is real; they have jobs, and are figuring each other out. It’s not a perfect fairy tale which makes it believable and interesting.
• HEA with the possibility for more! There are still a few unanswered questions that leave you wanting for more, but you will feel satisfied with the ending!!

• Alpha Guy: Owen is quite an alpha, he is particular about everything and I totally fell for him!

There was not one thing I did not like about this book! I am so happy to have found a new writing duo! I have to add Zoe Norman along with Christina Lauren (you know from the Beautiful Bastard series). Please go check out this 5 star read and I know you won’t be let down!!
