Synopsis

Emily Malone snuck into my life, slipped under my skin, and right into my heart. Little did I know that danger and death tagged along with her, following in her innocent wake.

I’m always in control – but not with her. Emily makes me doubt myself because she’s so important to me. Em knows nothing of the lifestyle. I know she’s submissive, but I must take it slow.

Gradually, step-by-step, I’ll teach her to enjoy my particular brand of kink, my unique darker needs. She’ll learn to love what I love. What I need.

That is if both of us live long enough to complete her training

“Kink is one of these books that grips you by the throat and takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Heart pounding scenes and an amazing story of a woman and her journey into a BDSM lifestyle.” – Kristy, Book Addict Mumma

“Kink is a visceral and yet tender love story that could only be written by the sensual pen of Nikki Sex. Darkly intoxicating and wickedly irresistible…” Autumn, Agents of Romance

“A sexy love story written mainly from the Dom’s point of view. Really fascinating and steamy HOT!” – I Love My Ereader

Review

Holy hotness and red cheeks! And dare I mention that both cheeks were red in this book! Kink carries on with the lives of Paul Jarman and Emily Malone after the book Fate. (I would suggest reading Fate prior to reading Kink) These two go head first into their romance and there is no hiding their sexuality. Can Emily and Paul work through their past and finally get what they both desire?

“Me, Paul Jarman, the man who fucks, but never even dates, wants a ‘re-lat-tion-ship.'”

Paul introduces Emily to his world of kink. And if that isn’t enough he also has a dark side he likes to call the Beast. While he is working towards having Emily embrace his BDSM lifestyle he has to learn to keep his Beast in check. There are great scenes of BDSM acts, yet Nikki Sex weaves in the romance of Paul and Emily. I did feel at times, that Paul did get absorbed in having all the power and inflicted too much pain on Emily. It just made the character of Paul a ‘love to hate’ male in my book.

Very descriptive acts of BDSM are in Kink. I had a small problem with it in the beginning and had to adjust my perspective rather quickly. Their relationship can be described as a whirlwind. Emily and Paul consumed one another, both in the bedroom and in their everyday lives. These two work together, their families are oddly connected, and their club makes a comeback from the first book. Another element that made an appearance from Fate and I was extremely happy about was, André. I love his character and perhaps we can get more of his story in a new book *hint hint*. Take hot sexy time mixed with infidelity, insecurities, and trust issues and you get a great story by Nikki Sex.  4 smoldering smooches for Kink!

Review

Give Me Grace is the third book in the Give Me Series by Kate McCarthy.  I had this series recommended to me a while ago by my co-bloggertte, Nicole, and I have been madly stalking Kate’s facebook page waiting for Give Me Grace for what feels like forever.  The wait was well worth it!  I was blown away by Casey and Grace’s story.

I do not recommend reading these books as standalones.  This lovable blended group of security guys, rockers, models, and cops known as the Badass Brigade appear in all three books; their stories developing while their lives change.  So, while each book is about a different couple and their journey together, this series will be so much more enjoyable if you get to know the characters from the beginning, learning to love them way before their actual story is told.  Like Casey.  I loved him so hard and could not wait for his book.  So, read the books like this, because I said.

unnamed

Casey and Grace’s story is my favorite of the series now.  I knew I was absolutely going to adore Casey.  He is a man-whoring, sexy as sin damaged man, who is so unbelievably kind to his friends.  He makes you feel all mushy inside.  He is THAT perfect book boyfriend; all hot tempered and mean in one breath and then smolderingly sensual in the next.  And when Casey meets Grace, a friend and member of the Badass Bridgade’s sister, he has met his match.  Grace is Henry’s sister and has been modeling and travelling all over the world since the tender age of 15.  She is tough, feisty, and sassy; a personality to match her fiery red hair.  Immediately, you sense the attraction between these two.  They hilariously fight it, throwing insults at one another, but soon the physical attraction is just too much.  Commence the ridiculous and sexy flirting!

“This was sexting?  How did people survive it?”

They are just so cute, hot, and funny.  The problem is, Grace is returning to her home in eight weeks but her and Casey strike a deal.  Eight weeks of each other and then they say goodbye.  Casey starts to realize that he may want more than eight weeks with Grace, but Grace fights it because the truth is she has more than a booming modeling career waiting on her back home.  She has to go home to face a hard reality that she would never subject Casey too.  Grace will win you over with her courage and love for those around her; protecting them at all cost.

“People come and go, Casey.  Some crash into your life and leave in the blink of an eye, others stay with you for years, but it doesn’t matter how long you have them for, because the way they make you feel stays with you forever.”

Casey also has his secrets and a tragic past to top that off.  A past that has left him hiding him true self and wanting to save the world.  I found myself mourning with Casey.  I was so incredibly sad for the hand life dealt little boy Casey.  Learning about Casey’s past only made me want his happily-ever-after even more.  He opens up to Grace giving her more of himself than anyone else.

“It’s okay to lose it, Casey.  Maybe you think I don’t see you, but I do.”

Casey and Grace seem to be magnets for trouble.  This book was chalk full of surfing accidents, fires, and car accidents.  All through this Casey wants nothing more than to protect Casey.  He can’t let the past repeat itself.

“Who do you think you are?  Batman?”

As with this whole series you will experience a beautifully written novel that will make you laugh and cry.  I really do love that Kate always has lots of action thrown in these books.  I especially loved this one because I felt like it opened a door to a whole new slew of characters I could grow to love.  (and perhaps another series, Kate..hint hint.)  This book was so special.  I literally could not put it down.  You will absolutely love Casey and Grace.

“Don’t you know?”  Grace looked at me, tired and pale, but happiness shone in her eyes.  “Casey’s my hero.”

 10529657_10154337035400414_57715625_n

Oh, and the ending.  It is a big one.  I could kiss and strangle Kate for it.  Now I am truly dying for the next book, Give Me Hell!

EXCERPT

I slipped out the front door, letting it softly click shut behind me. Casey was sitting in his car, staring straight ahead as I walked down the drive. Opening the car door, I slid inside and shut it. He didn’t acknowledge my presence, or even look at me at all. He simply shifted gears, and with a quick glance in his rearview mirror, pulled out onto the road.

I clicked my seat belt into place. “Casey?”

With a hard swallow, he shook his head, keeping his eyes on the road as we drove. Despite his controlled composure, his face was pale and tension surrounded him like an aura.

“Casey, you’re scaring me.”

“I’m sorry.” Our eyes met for a brief moment, the connection intense. Raw pain flickered in his eyes before it was quickly banked. “That’s the last thing I want to do.”

His palm slid over my bare thigh, riding upwards as he continued to drive. The touch sent arousal spiking through me, but not enough to override the concern.

“Where are we going?”

He shook his head as if he had no clue. After a moment, he replied, “I want to drive, but I don’t want to be alone. I want to be with you.”

My eyes fixed on his profile as he drove. The knuckles of his right hand were white on the steering wheel and his jaw tight. Something wasn’t right. In fact, something was very wrong. I slid my hand over his, my pulse racing when he flipped his palm over and grabbed hold.

“Casey?”

He glanced over at me.

“I want to be with you too.”

His answer was a squeeze of my hand before letting go.

We sat in silence as he drove. I stared at the dashboard, having no idea what to do or say or how to fix what was wrong.

“Are you okay?” I asked.

“Sure.” A smile came to his lips. It was forced because it never reached his eyes. “Just a bad day at work, you know?”

“No, I don’t know. Maybe you should tell me.”

The roads were eerily quiet when he pulled to a stop at a red light. “I don’t want to talk right now.” His hand fell on my thigh again, the calloused palm scraping my skin as it slipped upwards. Reaching between my thighs, he dragged my panties to the side and slipped his fingers inside, gently massaging my clit and dragging a moan from my throat. He leaned over, putting his mouth on my ear, his breathing coming harder and heavier.

“I want to fuck you, Grace. Not just tonight, but every night,” he professed, his fingers working me expertly. The red light turned green, but with no cars around, Casey ignored it. “Hard enough for it to hurt, so that when you leave, me fucking you is the only thing you can think about.”

I closed my eyes, my head falling back against the headrest. I wanted him to fuck me that hard. I wanted to feel him inside me even when he wasn’t there, but not like this. Not when he was using sex to mask a hurt so painful and deep I could feel the ache of it surrounding me until I felt suffocated.

“No,” I gasped.

He froze at the single word, his hand stilling instantly.

“There’s something wrong, Casey. I can feel it.”

His hand slipped out of my panties and I mourned the loss. “I don’t want to talk about it,” he snapped.

Tension bled into the car as he put it in gear and accelerated swiftly. My eyes burned. When we were good, it was wild and intense and consuming, but we always spiralled into such a hot mess. I wasn’t sure if Casey and I would ever find a happy medium.

Drawing a deep breath, I forced calm. “Maybe you should take me home.”

“No.”

My brows flew up. “No?”

“No.” He shook his head, his tone cold and harsh. “This was your deal, and now you want to turn it into some kind of relationship? That’s not what this is. This is about you and me and sex. So maybe you should spread your legs so we can both get what we want.”

“Where were we?”

“I think we had just established my sordid past and utter lack of experience,” I said sarcastically.

“Ah, yes,” he said as he tapped his finger on the counter. “Now, why is this experience so important to you?”

Confused, I tried to decide how to answer that. “I want this column so badly…” I shrugged. “It’s expected that I do something with my degree and fast. Stones aren’t burdens on society…” My voice trailed off.

“So, you are battling a lifetime of expectations and family lectures about your station in life?” He smirked. “I know a little something about that.”

Obviously, I let that go because…how could he possibly? Oh, but the house. “Who does the garage belong to…the one you live above?” Then I leaned over and waited patiently for a response.

“Ah, that inquiring mind. You don’t need a sex column; you need to be an investigative reporter.” He laughed. “Yeah, it’s my parents’.” He wiped down the bar before adding to it. “I’m an Evans.” Then he winked at me.

Apparently I was supposed to know what that meant and because of it, who he was. What I gathered was that it was like being a Stone. My heart went out to him. “So, you understand the dangers of not living up to expectations. Please understand, I don’t look at this column as anything more than a stepping stone in my career. I’m not sure where I want to take the degree, but I love writing. I love helping people. This meets all those criteria.”

For some reason, I didn’t want to see his face. I just wanted to think for a minute. He had struck a nerve. Why did I need that job? It would force me to stretch myself. There was something about a challenge. Then, there was sheer, utter, simple curiosity. I was the only one of my friends who was practically still a virgin. When we gathered together on holiday breaks, I was the one who never had a boyfriend, who never had sexcapades to relay, who sat back and tried to pretend to understand these foreign objects and experiences they talked about. I hated it. Then I smiled. As I stared in front of me, another piece of my phone had appeared.

“Can I see the list?” He asked seriously.

Shaking my head, I refused. “No. It’s too…humiliating.”

“Dammit woman, I can look it up online, but it’s just easier if you share the print copy. Okay?” He scowled at me for a moment. Then as I pushed the paper toward him, he smirked. After studying it for a moment, he looked up at me. “One night stand?”

“Nope. I knew them. It was a date. It just never went beyond that.” I stared at him evenly, trying not to give away any emotion.

“Did you like them?” He asked. “Either of them?”

Taking a deep breath, I said, “Not really. I just felt like…it was time. There wasn’t a crush, a bunch of love letters, phone calls, any of that. The first was prom. And for lack of a better defense, everyone was doing it.” I let out a hollow laugh. “The second, was a house party after graduation.”

“Drunk?” He asked, perplexed.

“No, but he was. This one was someone that my family approved of and had been pushing me toward for years. I just kind of gave in.” I sighed. “Does any of this make sense?”

“Honestly, no. I can’t understand how someone as beautiful as you could possibly think of settling for less than every single thing she deserved. Forget about your parents. What do you want?” He stood there, challenging me.

It was no longer about the phone, no longer about the game of Truth or Truth. I had to answer. We were really talking. “I’m not sure I know. I don’t know if my life has ever been about what I want.”

“What if we try to figure that out, together? And…what if I help you with this list?” He asked.

What will happen when the good girl gets mixed up with the bad boy?

Review

The good girl follows Willow and Wyatt as they work together to complete the sexual bucket list. Willow is the inexperienced girl that needs experience and knowledge in order to get a journalism job as a sex columnist and Wyatt comes across as the typical bad boy who loves them and leaves them. We learn that there is so much more to both of these characters.

Willow has been raised a certain way because of who her parents are, she is expected to behave a certain way and do things in the correct manner. At times you see the mask slip with her, especially when Wyatt is around. Wyatt helps Willow break down some of the barriers she puts up, he helps her be the person that she really is. Wyatt may seem like the bad boy, but he is actually a caring person who much like Willow wants to break away from the way that he is expected to behave.

Willow and Wyatt navigate their way through the list, giving Willow the insight that she needs to help her get the job. However neither of them accounted for the fact that staying together for the duration of the list would lead to feelings on either part. Wyatt seems to not be able to talk about his feelings, while Willow tries her best not to read too much into the situation between them.

Having some outside advice, can the two of them get their acts together and finally confess all? Or will they just continue to navigate the list and leave it as that? You will have to read this book to find out.

I really enjoyed getting to know Willow and Wyatt in this book, they have the relationship that goes from hardly knowing each other, to friends, to maybe more. Well done Emma Nichols on a brilliant read.

“You…amaze me. You really are a good girl. And I mean that in the best way.”

Synopsis:

Ethan was Ashley’s secret crush, until he became an asshole.

Asshole is too good a word for him. It’s bad enough that he stopped talking to her brother, who was his best friend since preschool. It’s even worse that he went wild and got involved with criminal types. But the worst thing of all is the way he trapped her on this ridiculous road trip.

That’s what it is. Ridiculous. It just isn’t normal for a girl to get dragged from Virginia to South Dakota in a stolen car with just $1000 in cash. With Ethan Moore, who is way too hot and way too infuriating to be tolerated. But she’s stuck with him on a trip that is taking way longer than it should, sharing cheap hotel rooms, destroying cars, and eluding bad guys.

Yep. There are bad guys chasing them. Even worse guys than Ethan, and that’s saying a lot.

Plus, she’s having trouble keeping her hands off Ethan. In fact, she’s falling for him hard—when she isn’t wanting to wring his neck.

So, for two crazy weeks, her pride, her heart, and her life are all threatened. Ashley isn’t sure which she’ll lose first.

About the Author: Noelle handwrote her first romance novel in a spiral-bound notebook when she was twelve, and she hasn’t stopped writing since. She has lived in eight different states and currently resides in Virginia, where she teaches English, reads any book she can get her hands on, and offers tribute to a very spoiled cocker spaniel.

She loves travel, art, history, and ice cream. After spending far too many years of her life in graduate school, she has decided to reorient her priorities and focus on writing contemporary romances.

When he disconnected, Ashley had managed to catch her breath, the whole thing so surreal it didn’t seem to even be happening. “Well, you can just leave me at the next exit. Thank you for the excitement, and I wish you well in escaping your pursuers.”

“You have to stay with me for now,” Ethan said. Before Ashley could do anything more than drop her jaw, he continued. “At least until I figure out what’s going on. If you weren’t in danger, I would have just left you at the gas station. But they’ve seen you with me, so they might use you to get to me.”

“But this is Miss Horner’s truck.” She gulped, imagining possible scenarios. The last thing she wanted was to get poor Miss Horner in trouble. “What if they track her down, thinking she’s me? I can’t believe you got me into this mess.”

“It sure wasn’t by choice,” he muttered, glancing over at her in obvious frustration. “Do you think I want to be dragging you around with me?” Taking advantage of the fact that she was too furious to respond, he went on, “Miss Horner will be fine. One look at her, and they’ll know she wasn’t involved. I hate it as much as you do, but you’re safest with me.”

Ashley was about to let loose a long, impassioned tirade, but the scene in front of her distracted her attention. Ethan had gotten trapped behind a tour bus. The bus was in the passing lane trying to get by a semi-truck. Neither was moving very fast, and so the pickup was effectively caught with no way to pass either vehicle. The sedan was pulling up beside them. They were trapped.

Or should have been.

Ethan stepped on the gas and edged between the bus and semi-truck—right in between them—where there was clearly no lane in which to drive.

Ashley almost screamed, but bit her lip to stifle it. She squeezed her eyes shut, waiting for the inevitable crunch as the pickup was squished in between the two much larger vehicles.

It never came. The truck swerved over onto the shoulder. Both drivers were laying on their horns. But Ethan had pulled past them and now had a clear road in front of him.

The sedan didn’t have time to do a similar maneuver, so, after the truck moved back into its lane, the bad guys were still stuck behind the bus.

Even though she was supposed to be a good girl and not take pleasure in dare-devil stunts, Ashley clapped her hands in excitement. Ethan met her eyes, and they grinned at each other warmly before she remembered that she hated him.

She scowled when she recalled everything he’d done, and Ethan turned back to the road, accelerating until he was going well over the speed limit.

She was surprised Miss Horner’s truck could even reach that speed.

“So why are they chasing us again?” Ashley asked after several minutes of silence.

“They’re chasing me. You were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. And now you’re stuck.” Ethan took the first exit they approached. The sedan still wasn’t in sight, but Ethan was clearly nervous. He checked the rearview mirror every thirty seconds or so.

Ashley sighed. “They aren’t behind us now. Can’t you just drop me off at a gas station or something?”

“Too risky,” Ethan said, shaking his head. “Your purse flew off the hood when we drove away, so they’d be able to find your license, even if they don’t see you get out of the truck. If these guys are who I think they might be, they’re dangerous. I’m not going to leave you to their mercy. This is my fault.”

“That’s for sure,” Ashley mumbled, not quite under her breath. “It’s like a damned Jason Statham movie.”

“Just stick with me for a little while until I can figure this out. Do you despise me so much it’s worth risking your life for?”

Review

Ashley and Ethan have known each other for a long time, but when Ashley and her family think Ethan got her brother into trouble with the law, they no longer saw each other. Until one fateful day when they both happen to be at the same gas station, and Ethan’s trouble with the law catches up to him in the form of men chasing them and shooting at them. From here on out these two embark on a roller-coaster road trip, trying to escape from the people chasing them while also trying to fight their attraction for each other. Will they both succumb to their feelings? And will they escape the men chasing them?

“She has to admit that she didn’t really dislike Ethan after all. He might be infuriating sometimes, but she cared about him. A lot.”

This was an enjoyable story. The characters were really likeable and the plot was original and exciting. However I did think that maybe the story went on for too long so at some points it dragged and the ending seemed to be resolved really quickly considering how long the story and their problems go on for.

“No wonder she resented him. After spending all night in bed with her, he wouldn’t even extend to her the common courtesy of getting an erection.”

Characters- I loved both Ethan and Ashley. I felt for Ethan massively; I could feel how upset and lonely he felt because of what Ashley thought of him at the beginning and how he still looked after her and cared for her. He was strong, sensitive, brave, handsome and just a nice guy, especially when we find out what he did for Ashley’s brother.
Ashley was equally likeable. She was strong, she didn’t back down, she was brave and funny and someone I could relate to and be proud to call a heroine of the story.

“She was absolutely crazy about Ethan, and no one else had ever infuriated her more.”

Plot- the plot was original and exciting. Especially the scenes when the men caught up to them. During those times it was fast paced and I would read quicker and quicker wanting to know if they would escape again or get caught. However like I mentioned I did actually think this story was too long. There were times it dragged a little and I think a few scenes could have been cut out or made a little shorter. The ending also seemed to happen rather quickly, especially the talk with Ashley’s parents. The epilogue also wasn’t my favourite as I normally like to see the charters further ahead in their lives or in their relationships.

“I think I’ve always been in love with you. I can’t imagine life without you. You’re…you’re everything to me.”

Overall a really enjoyable story with a creative plot and likeable characters. This story will keep your attention and you will want to know how it all ends. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Boudoir by Chelsea Landon Cover Reveal

Title: Boudoir

Author: Chelsea Landon

Release Date: Late Summer 2014

I don’t lie and I don’t steal…

Never had a reason to do either.

Until now.

I’ve also never been so attracted to a man that lying is my only option.

Until now.

I’ve resorted to stealing a man’s phone number and lying about having a boyfriend just to secure one more moment with this man. A man who has me so turned on that all rational thought and sense of morals is left behind without a second glance.

Why would I do these things?

Men are the predators, women are the prey.

Until now.

Gage Levi lives his life behind a lens, capturing beauty within vulnerability. He’s controlled, resistant, and willing to do anything to make his clients feel relaxed. How far would he be willing to go with a client to capture the moments of perfection he desperately craves?

He’s got one rule… don’t lie to him.

Something Worth Saving

It was one night, one fate and something tragic destroying something beautiful.

Heavy sheets of smoke curling and rolling together constricting my visions of this life I had.

You see that there?

That wrenching pain in your gut knowing not everything as it seems?

Look closer. That nervous energy you now have, stumbling over words you can’t say, a voice muffled under a mask, a moaning plea to be saved, slurred words on the tip of your tongue, there’s the something tragic.

When I have nothing left to give, nothing left to say, it’s him that brings me back to the moment, in the arms of my firefighter, the warmth of his heart and body, struggling to save his family.

Erin Evans is the kind of girl no guy wants to be in a relationship with. She’s controlling and never backs down when she thinks she’s right.

Knowing this, and rightfully fearing her last few years in her twenties will be like the last five, she looks for some adventure.

That’s when her best friend convinces her to go on vacation with her to the Bahamas.

On the land of white sand, coconut rum, and a cloudless sky, what she never expects is to meet Tyler Weston, a local bar tender with a sweet tongue for the pretty girls. He’s tattooed, entertaining, and living the dream in paradise as he sets her drinks and world on fire.

As the moon lights the city, Erin unexpectedly becomes infatuated with Tyler and his bartending skills when he offers her a challenge to try his Black Magic drink.

With a mission to now try every drink on the menu, one night she can barely remember turns into two weeks of exciting possibilities she never saw coming.

Can Erin put aside her cynical side and let the dirty mouthed bartender show her what island life is really like?

Just Enough – Coming Aug 22, 2014

I want out of this town.

I want to leave and never look back.

He doesn’t knock when he comes in, he never needs to. He knows, as well as I do, my door is always open, waiting.

I crave him. I do. He knows this, I think, I know, and I believe he craves me too. Why else would he come back?

It’s his determination and his will that gets me. That determination keeps me waiting for him in a dreary bay. I’ve always heard my friends say they wanted the rich guy to take them out of this small town that seems to hold us all captive.

Lincoln wasn’t that guy. At first look, he’s a fisherman, married to the sea and weighted by her waves.

Who is he to me?

He’s someone who gives just enough.

He shows me a different way of thinking. A way to give more than just enough.

A stay-at-home mom, Chelsea Landon spends her days drinking entirely too much caffeine, baking sugar-sweet treats she never eats, and jotting down notes for her novels. A dreamer at heart, she’s creating happily ever afters. She’s a lover, a writer, a dreamer, would rather type than speak, wants to remember everything, loves lots of ice in her drinks, and is slightly introverted.
