REVIEW:

I’m loving Max Monroe’s Winslow Brothers, and they have returned with Flynn’s story in The Pact. A marriage of convenience romantic comedy, Flynn is in Vegas for his brother Jude’s bachelor party when he meets Daisy, a Canadian clothing designer living in LA pursuing her dream job. Max is the strong silent type, a bit standoffish and private, and Daisy is a breath of fresh air. She’s independent, optimistic and has a big heart. She’s in a bit of pickle and needs to find a solution to her problem—fast. Queue a ride on the back of the hot guy’s Harley and a quickie Vegas wedding, and Daisy’s problem is solved. That’s just the beginning of their hilarious, heat-filled, heart-racing journey.

A no-strings attached business arrangement full of opposites attract vibes, I loved Flynn and Daisy’s story so much. The Pact was so much fun, full of feels and fiery hot. I devoured it in a day as I laughed, lusted and fell in love right along with Flynn and Daisy! I can’t wait for more of these brothers! Five smooches from me for The Pact by Max Monroe from me!

And so began my adventure with Max Yearwood.

REVIEW:

A mix of some of my favorite tropes, A Not So Meet Cute was part enemies-to-lovers and part fake romance with a bit of a fun spin. Fans of the classic romantic comedy, Pretty Woman, will love Quinn’s modern take on it here. I’m a huge fan of Meghan’s, and her outrageously hilarious writing style is a big reason why I reach for her romcoms time and time again.

As the title implies, Huxley and Lottie’s first meeting isn’t all that cute. They’re both in situations of their own making essentially because they’ve lied to people in their lives. Huxley, a billionaire workaholic real estate mogul, needs a fiancé to cover his lie and seal the deal of a lifetime. Lottie’s life is swirling in the toilet in an epic crash-and-burn scenario that her family told her was coming. She’s desperate to dodge the “I told you so” comments from them. She needs a place to stay in a hurry, and while wandering through a wealthy neighborhood looking for a rich husband, as one does in this situation, she runs into Huxley—literally.

Lottie and Huxley had this natural fiery chemistry, and I really enjoyed the preposterous premise of their situations. On the surface, A Not So Meet Cute was a seriously funny romcom, but Meghan is a master at building in real emotion and surprising her readers with it. There were layers of intense emotion in Lottie and Huxley’s story, and I loved wading through it with them. Witty banter and undeniable attraction made for the perfect kindling to burn the fake part of this couple’s relationship to the ground.  

A Not So Meet Cute was an addictive combination of hard-fought, heartstring pulling romance, a raging inferno of blistering chemistry, and slap-stick style humor. Meghan penned a story full of charm, comedy, passion and emotion, and I laughed, I swooned and I blushed my way through this book. Five smooches from me for A Not So Meet Cute by Meghan Quinn!

REVIEW:

I love Lacey Black. She writes wonderful small-town romances, and they’re some of my favorite stories to read. Waiting For Love, an enemies to lovers romance featuring two neighbors, is Lacey Black’s addition to the multi-author Love Vixen series.

I loved the evolution of Theo and Penelope’s relationship so much! They had that frenemies vibe, but there was definitely attraction sizzling below the surface. Their back-and-forth bantering was snappy and quick-witted and basically its own special brand of foreplay. Lacey has a great sense of humor, and she shares it liberally throughout this story. One of the hallmarks of Black’s writing is that she creates these wonderful communities, full of interesting side characters, and it truly makes for a rich and vivid background.

Lighthearted and low angst, Waiting For Love was a sweet and steamy feel-good romance that I devoured in a single sitting. It was engaging, entertaining, full of charming and endearing characters with a sexy, slow-burn romance, and I enjoyed every word of it! Lacey Black’s Waiting For Love gets 4.5 smooches from me!

Dirty Slide by Lauren Blakely & KD Casey Review

REVIEW:

Holy blistering hot stuff! This collaboration between Lauren Blakely and KD Casey was FIRE! If you follow my reviews you already know I’m a huge Lauren Blakely fan, but this was my first time reading KD Casey. These authors were very in-sync, their writing styles meshed beautifully, and as a long-time Blakely reader, I can honestly say that the transitioning between them was seamless.

Dirty Slide, a rivals-to-lovers M/M sports romance, was a super steamy novella featuring two New York based ballplayers from rival teams. Chris was moody, intense and a bit on the grumpy side while Josh was a cocky, laidback and likeable guy. They’ve been dancing around each other for a bit, but Josh was looking for a committed relationship, and Chris’s reputation as a player refers to more than just his performance on the field. The back-and-forth banter between these two was witty and snappy, the chemistry between them was electric and sizzling hot, but it was the connection that they shared that really grabbed my attention.

I loved Chris and Josh together. They were charming, endearing, and I couldn’t help but root for them. Dirty Slide was fun, flirty and full of fire and feels, and I loved every single word!  Five smooches from me for Dirty Slide by Lauren Blakely and KD Casey!
