As the moon lights the city, Erin unexpectedly becomes infatuated with Tyler and his bartending skills when he offers her a challenge to try his Black Magic drink. “Sounds like you have it all figured out, don’t you?”
A satisfied smile crossed his face. “Uh-huh.”
“I bet you have a dirty mouth, too?”
By the look on his face, it was fairly obvious he was about to say something dirty. “Sweetheart, you’d be surprised what that mouth can get me and what it can do for you.”
“Wow.” I threw my head back. “You’re so fucking arrogant.”
“Arrogance is a blessing.”
“How so?”
“No matter what you say” — he winked — “you want a man with confidence.”
He had me there.
A raucous burst of laughter brought me out of my island boy trance.
I brought the glass to my lips, finishing my drink, and watched a group of intoxicated girls grind on each other. Next to them, there was a group of men watching, drooling, and then taking them home.
“A girl really did a shot off a guy’s dick?”
Tyler grinned and held up the bottle of tequila in one hand, the other one undoing his belt buckle. “Wanna try?”
“Oh, uh.” I swallowed, and I thought he sensed maybe I wasn’t drunk enough for that, but it did sound appealing to me. I wouldn’t mind putting my mouth on him for sure, the thought tempting, even if I just envisioned it in my mind.
Before I had a lot of time to think about it, Tyler looked around the bar. It was empty for the most part, so he patted the bar. “Hop up here, city girl.”
“On the bar?”
He raised an eyebrow, setting the bottle of tequila on the bar and then placing two limes and salt beside it. “Yeah, what the fuck does ‘hop up here’ mean in city terms?”
“All right, let’s do it.” I gave a nod, as if to prepare myself.
“Off my dick?” You couldn’t miss the eagerness in his voice.
“Uh, no. Something else.”
I jumped slightly when his hands touched my exposed knees, pulling them apart. He then grabbed the salt shaker and made me get on the bar. He moved between my legs, putting his hands on my thighs again. With a firm grip he slid me forward and stood so his chest was in line with mine, so close I could finally smell him. He smelled like summer, warm sand, rum and cologne, fresh and clean.
He let go of me and then drew back far enough that he could raise his hands to pull his T-shirt over his shoulders. Goddamn, was he muscular and tanned. Dark markings scattered his chest and arms with what appeared to be about twenty or thirty different tattoos. I didn’t have a single tattoo, and the thought of getting even one terrified me. But part of me was really excited right then because now I knew he didn’t have a cat’s ass on his stomach. I could work with this.
I snuck a peek at his body again, just one more and proudly noticed him doing the same thing.
Oh yeah, I could definitely work with this.
We stared at each other for a moment, Zac Brown Band bellowing through the bar.
I was fairly modest in my attempt at a body shot and did one off his neck. Licking his soft but rough skin, I took my shot and then sucked on the lime in my hand. He said nothing, showed no real reaction other than his arms tensing when I licked his neck.
We sat there, staring at each other.
It was his turn.
Slowly he bent down to my neck, his lips on my collar bone, but he didn’t stay there. He surprised me when he moved lower, and lower. When he reached my thighs, he slowly spread them apart, his thumbs on my inner thighs, just inches above my knees.
I moaned, tossing my head back. “Of course you’d do that.”
He looked up at me, his head between my legs. “Nice panties.”
“Stop looking.”
I went to close my legs, but he caught them in his firm grip, prying them apart. “I don’t think so. You owe me.”
His mouth moved in, closer, and then closer. The heat from his breath and the humidity had me sweating like crazy. No way did I want his mouth down there. I tried to pull him up by his shoulders, but he knocked my hands away and shook his head.
With his mouth on my left thigh, he slowly licked a trail upward until his nose hit the bottom of my dress. Drawing back just slightly, he reached beside him for the salt, sprinkling it over the path his tongue had just made. Reaching up he placed the lime in my mouth.
Is he serious?
Yep. Looks like it.
I took the lime, willingly. He grabbed the shot and lowered himself once more between my legs. Wanting to tease him, and maybe torture myself, I spread my legs a little farther apart.
He smiled, his eyes a little darker as his hair fell in his face. Nothing was being said, but this was by far the sexiest shot I’d ever experienced.
With absolutely no hesitation, he licked the path he made with the salt, his tongue flat and wet against my overly heated skin. The sensation shot through my body, causing me to jump on contact. He noticed and gripped my thighs a little tighter, holding me still.
Pulling away, he threw his head back and took the shot, and then brought himself to my mouth. At some point I had bitten down on the lime; the juice squeezed down my chin and neck. Licking my neck, then chin, capturing the juices, he then took the lime, smiling the entire time.
Our lips never touched, and I was sadly disappointed. I wanted to kiss him.
He leaned toward me and brought his lips to my ear. “Now imagine that…higher….” His left hand, which was on my thigh, still moved higher until the pad of his thumb was between my legs. He stroked his thumb over my clit, separated from his skin by the thin wetness of my panties, with just enough pressure that I wanted to scream and then shove his entire hand up there.  To say my body was now officially more liquefied than the drinks that this delicious looking bartender served to his customers would be the biggest understatement of the night. I needed him as much as I needed my next breath. Praying that this night ended the way I’d envisioned because this ache wasn’t going to go away on its own.

Something Worth Saving
It was one night, one fate and something tragic destroying something beautiful.
Heavy sheets of smoke curling and rolling together constricting my visions of this life I had.
You see that there?
That wrenching pain in your gut knowing not everything as it seems?
Look closer. That nervous energy you now have, stumbling over words you can’t say, a voice muffled under a mask, a moaning plea to be saved, slurred words on the tip of your tongue, there’s the something tragic.
When I have nothing left to give, nothing left to say, it’s him that brings me back to the moment, in the arms of my firefighter, the warmth of his heart and body, struggling to save his family.
Just Enough
Coming Summer 2014
I want out of this town.
I want to leave and never look back.
He doesn’t knock when he comes in, he never needs to. He knows, as well as I do, my door is always open, waiting.
I crave him. I do. He knows this, I think, I know, and I believe he craves me too. Why else would he come back?
It’s his determination and his will that gets me. That determination keeps me waiting for him in a dreary bay. I’ve always heard my friends say they wanted the rich guy to take them out of this small town that seems to hold us all captive.
Lincoln wasn’t that guy. At first look, he’s a fisherman, married to the sea and weighted by her waves.
Who is he to me?
He’s someone who gives just enough.
He shows me a different way of thinking. A way to give more than just enough.

Synopsis

For 18yrs and above

Deanna Drake has a past she longs to forget, but won’t ever be able to. She’s always been the tough one. No one, but her best friend Zara has ever been able to penetrate her cold, hard, shell.

Until Griz

Griz— a.k.a Grady Daniels, Hawks Motorcycle Club second in command, also has a past that he wishes he could undo…all except one part.

Review

After reading the first book in this series, “Holding Out”, I was really excited to start this one. There was major chemistry between Griz and Deanna from the very first time they met. This book pretty much starts where the last one left off with a few flashbacks added in to fill in some of the story.

Deanna is one tough cookie! She swears worse than a sailor (or biker) and keeps her walls up high, not letting anyone in. She’s had a hard life and just when she thought it was all behind her, her past rears its ugly head and she may be in need some help if she’s going to make it through.

Griz (Grady) has been trying to ignore his crazy attraction to Deanna for a long time. He’s too old for her and he has too much to deal with in his own personal life without having to deal with a handful like her. But when Deanna’s in danger, will Griz be able to ignore his feelings for her?

I loved these two together! Deanna is a spitfire but it was really nice to see her softer side in this book as well. Griz is a great character and he is so amazing with Deanna and the others he cares for. My major complaint about the first book was that there wasn’t enough one on one time between Talon and Zara. This was not a problem in “Climbing Out”. There was plenty of alone scenes for Griz and Deanna and it made me feel more invested in their relationship. Oh… and the sex scenes were off the charts HOT!

Overall this was a great read and an improvement over the last book. I am super excited to read all the upcoming books in this series!

Welcome To Paradise

by S.L. Scott

BOX SET SUMMARY:

I thought I was strong… But I wasn’t when it came to Evan Ashford.

The rich, cocky playboy I met within minutes of landing in Hawaii didn’t give me arrogance. He gave me his heart and his hard truths. In return, I gave him everything, including my trust. The man made me weak in the knees, but I soon learned the bad boy surfer had a reputation that preceded him and an image to uphold.

The sexual chemistry was unquestionable, our emotions irrational, but our love was undeniable. Together our pasts didn’t matter. Our different backgrounds were irrelevant. He made me feel his life wasn’t worth living without me in it. He took my breath away and saved each one of them, owning me wholly.

Evan became my life, but with all the obstacles that stood in our way, could he become my future?

HAPPY ENDINGS:

A NOVELLA SUMMARY:

w3

Life was perfect. Paradise was found in the arms of a redeemed bad boy. Evan Ashford’s cocky side didn’t stand a chance against true love. He pursued me with an unbridled determination, a passion that couldn’t be denied, winning me over. Our lives are now set… or should have been. But nothing stays perfect forever and happiness comes with a price.

We’ve paid that price.

Sometimes we may not get the answers we seek, but we’ve learned to cherish the gifts we’ve been given. It doesn’t matter what life throws at us or takes away, we’ve found love and we will fight for what matters most—family.

Good Vibrations Excerpts

He turns and looks at me. “The pavement is hot. I’ll carry you the rest of the way. Hop on.”

Being stubborn, I touch my foot to the pavement to test it.

“I’m parked six rows over. You can walk if you want.” He shrugs, but looks confident.

He starts walking, but the ground is too hot and I don’t want to scorch my feet. I huff, putting my hands on my hips. “Fine. I’ll take the ride.”

And there is that self-satisfied smile. If I wasn’t anxious to get out of here myself, I’d protest just to spite him. But I want to get home, so I swallow my pride.

He comes back and bends over and I hop onto his back wrapping my legs around his body and my arms loosely around his neck. My cold, wet, bathing suit is in my hand, dripping down his bare chest, and I find a tidbit of pleasure in that annoyance. He’s getting me back five times over with the friction of his body against my nether region as he moves though. All that separates us is the soft cotton of the briefs I’m wearing.

He makes me want him! It’s hard to give up the best sex of your life over stupid stuff like principles and pride.

We reach the car and he grabs me from the side, spinning me to his front and pinning me against the vehicle with his body.

“Whoa! What are you doing?” My feet don’t reach the ground and he’s holding me by my ass and enjoying himself at that.

“I told you our conversation wasn’t over.”

“Do we have to finish it with your cock pressed against me while your hands fondle my ass though?” I ask, sneering.

He laughs then leans his head against my forehead. “You’re right. We shouldn’t be talking.” His lips graze mine and my body relaxes under his grip. Sensing the tension dissipating from my body, he kisses me. I hold out for exactly point two seconds before I kiss him back.

Extra Excerpt

She stops, and with a telling grin says, “You know, despite what you may think, I’m actually not an easy lay.”

I can’t stop the laugh. Trust me, I try. “Don’t worry. I won’t tell anyone how fast you jumped my bones.”

“Jumped your bones? I did not jump your bones. You have clearly forgotten how the events of our first date went down.”

“Well,” I say, rubbing my chin. “It wasn’t really a date from what I recall and you still ended up in my bed… under me one time…” I close my eyes remembering how fucking sexy she was that day. “… on top of me another. Oh, and I can’t forget how hot your ass looked from behind. I clearly remember three different times.”

“I thought it was two.”

“I didn’t include the pool action, so definitely three… at least, and I wore you out, Miss I’m-Not-An-Easy-La—Ouch!” I rub my arm where she knuckles me, then laugh. “You’re feisty, Miss Wray.”

“It’s one of the reasons you fell in love with me.”

“It’s one of the many reasons I fell in love with you. Your easy ways were another.”

She jerks me to a stop in the middle of the lobby. “Oh my God, Evan, you make me sound like a whore.”

Wrapping my arms around her neck, I pull her close, and whisper, “Do you regret being with me that first day?”

“No, none of it.”

“You’re not a whore.” I kiss her on the nose. “You’re not easy. We both knew there was something more between us, something different. We did what we wanted and what felt right.”

Review

“God do they make WD-40 for flirting? Because I am rusty.”

All Lined up by Cora Carmack was a fun and flirty NA venturing on YA novel. This is a football themed story of a dancer who meets a football player at a college party and sparks fly. One small catch, Dallas doesn’t date football players . . . oh and her dad is the coach!

“I’ve had my hands up your skirt, Daredevil. I think that qualifies me as an acquaintance at least.”

Dallas and Carson are a sweet couple trying to figure out if this relationship can work and if it is worth giving it a try. There was a lot of back and forth of can we do this and we should stop but ultimately it all comes off as endearing and fun. Deciding it is best to keep what is happening between them a secret was a fun twist. I liked the tension the secrecy caused and watching them find ways to get together when no one was looking was both hot and fun. Also his nickname for her, Daredevil, is ADORABLE!

“Sometimes it’s hard to see past our own broken pieces.”

While I do feel like there was a good amount of drama in this book it was not overly angsty. Sometimes you need an easy fun read with an HEA and this is just that book. It was a good book and I read it in one sitting on a Saturday afternoon. The characters were fun and well written and I loved them immediately. Cora Carmack has an amazing skill in writing a character you can both relate to and want to be like. I loved Dallas and Carson was as swoon-worthy as they come!

“Carson McClain, you scare me like nothing has ever scared me before. You drive me crazy and make me laugh and push buttons on purpose. You make me feel safe and smart and pretty. Sometimes I think I might actually melt when you wrap your arms around me, and right now I feel a little bit like I might die if you don’t kiss me.”

To be honest, I struggled with the rating for this book between a 4 and a 4.5. My main reason for this is that it was a little too YA for me (no real “Heat” till the epilogue.) Ultimately I decided that it would not be fair to deduct  some from this book for being what it is supposed to be a New Adult book that ventures on the border of YA. Now, had there been a bit more heat in this book for me it would have been phenomenal but that being said I still enjoyed reading it and look forward to reading more from this series.

Excerpt/Teaser:

Preach “Can you do me a favor, brother?” Timber lifts his chin. “What’cha need?” Lifting a nearly empty bottle of beer, Maker motions for the prospect to bring him another. “I was supposed to pick up Little Flower, but I’m too drunk to have her on my bike. Can you run down to the diner and take her home?” “If you knew you had to pick up your daughter, why the hell have you been drinking?” He shrugs. “I didn’t mean to get drunk, but it just happened.” “If you for once put the beer down, it wouldn’t just happen,” Timber mumbles under his breath before looking toward me. “You wanna take a ride?” Nodding, I stand up and follow him outside. “I didn’t know Maker had a kid.” “He’s got a daughter, and she’s probably the prettiest little thing you’ve ever seen. His bitch of a wife keeps her away from the club, so she’s not around much. ” “Lula’s always here. Why doesn’t she let the girl come around?” He slides onto his bike before answering me. “Lula likes to be the center of attention. When her daughter’s around, she’s nothing but a shadow.” I climb onto my bike, wondering what is so special about this kid. Quote 4 RR

Synopsis

Daisy “Little Flower” Anderson has lived her entire life on the sidelines of the Renegade Sons MC. Her father is a member, and her mother a club whore turned old lady. Not wanting to follow their footsteps, she chose a different path; one that keeps her close to the biker family she loves, but out of the club.
Struggling to keep it together, she never thought she would have anything of her own, until she met Preach. He is everything she swore she didn’t want in life. One night of passion leads to unexpected consequences, and she knows, now more than ever, it’s time to move forward.
Garrett “Preach” Austin lived his life caught in his father’s iron fist. He never thought he would want anything more than freedom from his past, until he met his “Little Flower”. She shows him there is more to life than pain.
Preach has a secret; one that forces him to choose between Daisy and his brothers. Even though he loves Daisy, the Renegade Sons are the only true family he has. He knows he can’t have her, yet he can’t let her go.
When Daisy moves on, Preach realizes what he’s lost. Can he prove that he’s the man for her, or is he too late?

WARNING:
Renegade Reject contains adult situations some readers may find offensive. This is a raw and gritty story involving explicit sex, foul language, violence and drug use. Not intended for readers under 18.

Review

I love MC Romance.  Hard.  It is hard to explain why I love it.  Maybe because it is so dark and gritty, raw, and unlike my mommy suburb life.  Renegade Reject is one the best MC books I have read lately.  It is right up there with the likes of the Undeniable Series by Madeline Sheehan, for me.  It even beat out the first book in this series, Renegade Lady, which I absolutely adored as well.

This is Daisy and Preach’s story this go around and while I guess it could be read as a standalone, I really recommend that you read Renegade Lady first.  In Renegade Lady you learn most of the main characters of these books and you get a little insight into Preach and Daisy’s relationship.  Also, the book is awesome.  So why skip it?

Preach and Daisy are a hot mess in every sense of the word.  They meet when Daisy is just getting ready to turn eighteen but club rules state that Preach cannot make her his old lady until she is eighteen and no earlier.

10322600_10154134060005414_5305473027261531412_nLet me tell you, a lot can happen in 2 months.  Flash forward years later, and Daisy and Preach still aren’t together.  Preach is a raging alcoholic and Daisy is a bitter stripper.  They still want each other but the odds are against them this whole novel.  Mostly because Preach just cannot get it together.  He has a really dark past and just cannot seem to overcome his demons and doubts.  He literally made me want to throw my kindle.  I do not know how I continued to root for him even though he was pretty much a cheating, no good bastard, most of the book.  I honestly think it is the brilliant minds of Emily and Dawn that made him lovable even with all of his indiscretions.  I loved Preach and I hated him but through the whole book I always wanted him to get his shit together and love Daisy.  Why?  Because after Daisy’s horrible upbringing, she really deserved the guy I hoped Preach could be.  When they were together, they were comical, romantic, and super sexy.

10367608_10154134060075414_4963173406096103075_nThis is one hell of an angsty ride.  I absolutely loved everything about this book.  Great job again to this amazing writing team!

From the New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author, Olivia Cunning

One Starry Night…

In high school, Jake was the bad boy who made Michelle burn with desire, took what he wanted from her body, and broke her heart. In hindsight, Michelle never should have gotten tangled up with the aspiring guitarist in the first place. In high school, Devlin was a sweet, shy geek who’d had a crush on her, but when he’d found the courage to ask her to Prom, she’d turned him down flat. In hindsight, she should have worried more about the quality of the boy than her reputation with the popular crowd. But this isn’t high school anymore. At her ten year class reunion, Michelle finds her once popular crowd lacking, but finds both the man who broke her heart and the one she once rejected irresistibly sexy. She wants them. Both of them. And they want her any way—every way—they can have her. Can she resist either man? Does she even want to try?

New York Times bestselling author Nicole Edwards is heating things up with Boots Optional, a sexy new ménage novella which is the first book in a hot new series called Dead Heat Ranch. Grace Lambert is familiar with hard work, long days, and handsome cowboys. She’s been working for her family’s dude ranch since she was old enough to ride a horse and she’s not afraid to get her hands dirty. What she is afraid of is the heat that’s been generating between her and not one, but two sexy cowboys who’ve set their sights on her. And each other. Grant Kingsley and Lane Miller have both had their eyes on Gracie for years, but the feisty cowgirl has managed to keep them at bay. As far as they are concerned, cowboys don’t give up, and neither of them is ready to give up just yet. Not on her and not on the heat that transpires between the two of them. Find out what happens when the sultry Texas nights get as hot as the fierce Texas days.

New York Times bestselling authorCherrie Lynn gets it hot in here with SHAMELESS. It’s a vacation Meredith Taylor will never forget. A sunny beach, good friends and good times. But when she overhears a couple having a passionate interlude on the balcony above her one night, she can’t get the man’s sultry voice out of her mind. Especially when she figures out exactly who that man is…

Cameron Moore always had an eye on his best friend’s little sister but considered her strictly off limits, choosing to satisfy his lust elsewhere. Now Meri seems to want to annihilate every wall Cam’s put up against her. The beach is hot, the drinks are cold, Meredith is irresistible, and something has to give. Will it only be the walls between them, or their hearts as well?

New York Times Bestselling Author Kristen Proby brings you PLAYING WITH FIRE, a ménage novella. Bailey Whitworth is a charity event organizer and a woman exploring her sexuality. Kevin Welling and Gray McDermitt are firefighters and best friends who share everything. Bailey always knew her sexual appetites were “different”, but she had no idea that she could fall in love with two men at once. What will she do when she has to choose between them? Or will she have to choose at all?

From USA Today bestselling author, Lainey Reese comes Guarding Nadia.

When Nadia Dixon walked into the offices of CJ Investigations, the last thing she expected to find were men who looked more like GQ models than bodyguards. It was desperation that brought her to their door however and she prayed that the two sex gods were more than just pretty faces.

Caleb and Jonas had started their security firm together after leaving the Secret Service. They had the lethal skill and training to safeguard anyone, including the gorgeous erotic author. Considering her stunning beauty, alluring sensuality and decadent profession, the only wonder was that she had drawn out just one obsessed fan. After hearing Nadia’s story and seeing for themselves the threat that she was under, they knew they could keep her safe from any stalker.

Their only worry…who was going to keep her safe from them?

About The Authors:

Olivia Cunning Author PhotoNew York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Olivia Cunning

Combining her love for romantic fiction and rock ‘n roll, USA Today Best-Selling Author Olivia Cunning writes erotic romance centered around rock musicians.

Raised on hard rock music from the cradle, she attended her first Styx concert at age six and fell instantly in love with live music. She’s been known to travel over a thousand miles just to see a favorite band in concert. As a teen, she discovered her second love, romantic fiction — first, voraciously reading steamy romance novels and then penning her own.

Olivia’s first book in her Sinner’s Tour Series, Backstage Pass, was published in 2010 by Sourcebooks. Book two in the series, Rock Hard, was published in 2011 and the third book, Double Time just released November 2012. The last two books in the series are expected to be out in 2013. Aside from the Sinners Tour that launched her career, Olivia has been hard at work on a few other series and stand alones . . . of course with the music turned up.

Interview With Nicole Edwards

1. If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your first book? Nope. I wouldn’t. Conviction was the first book I published and in my opinion, everything has teetered on that one decision to publish. I don’t spend much time thinking about do overs but I can say that I’ve learned so much along the way. I’ve changed my style somewhat and all of that comes from learning from your mistakes.

2. How important are names to you in your books? Do you choose the names based on liking the way it sounds or the meaning? The names have to sound sexy to me. I know that might sound strange, but I think it’s a mental thing. And when I have “bad guys”, I tend to use names that I know I wouldn’t use for my main characters. For example, one of my character’s names was Stephen. Not that I have anything against that name. My husband’s real name is Steven (with a V), but since I won’t use his name for one of my main characters, I opted to use it for one of my secondary bad guys.

3. Do you have a steady regimen when it comes to writing or do you just write whenever the mood strikes? I write every single day. Whether it is 100 words or 10,000. I sit down at my computer and write something. Granted, there are the rare days when I know without a doubt that I can’t come up with a single word. On those days, I tend to go to the grocery store or run other errands so I can get them out of the way. My goal is 5,000 words per day. That’s what I aim for. I’m happy to say that for the most part, it works for me.

4. Is there a certain type of scene that’s harder for you to write than others? Love? Action? Racy? I can’t say there’s a particular type of scene that’s harder than others. I will write a scene and often times it is modified at least ten times before I’m ever happy with it. I pay close attention to dialogue and how it sounds when I speak it like one of my characters normally would. I also envision the interaction between the characters. I think if I had to pick one type that I spend the most time on, it would be the emotional scenes. For instance, in Ethan (AI #5), I spent a lot of time going back and looking at the interaction between Beau and Ethan. Feeling what they were feeling was important to me because the book was such an emotional one.

5. Just for fun: If you were an animal in a zoo, what would you be? That’s easy. An elephant. (Yes, I’m aware of how strange that might sound). I love elephants. Absolutely adore them. I could go to the zoo and watch them all day, so why wouldn’t I want to be one just so I could hang out and admire my elephant friends.
