REVIEW:

I’m a huge fan of Lacey Black’s, and when I want a sexy, sweet small-town romance, she’s my go-to author for that. Her Rivers Edge series is one of my all-time favorites, and the Summer Sisters series has become another. Black is a very talented author, and small town, big-family-based romances are totally her jam. She creates contemporary romance magic within the pages of these types of stories, and readers of who enjoy passionate, poignant romances will absolutely love the ones penned by Black.

My Kinda Song is the third book in the Summer Sisters series, and it’s a friends-to-lovers story between one of the twin youngest Summer sisters, Abby, and her life-long best friend, Levi. Black built upon this couple’s special friendship, with the repressed attraction and feelings between these two characters, to build a love story that has been years in the making. Everyone else could see the chemistry between Abby and Levi, but it took some time for the two of them to open their eyes to what was right there in front of them.

Once Abby and Levi crossed the line, however, there was no going back. Firefighter, paramedic slash local weekend rock star Levi knew what he had in Abby, but not a guy who was used to putting in the effort where women were concerned, he was bound to mess up. Abby has been in love with Levi for years, her heart breaking each time she would see him head off after a show with a groupie in tow. Having had enough of that, romance novel editor Abby decided it was time to stop pining for her best friend and try find her own happily ever after. When she mentioned to Levi that she was giving online dating a try, it was a game-changing moment of realization for him, and he pulled out all the stops in his pursuit of his best friend.

A charming and endearing yet incredibly steamy love story, My Kinda Song was a page-turner that I didn’t want to put down. Some meddling sisters, clingy groupies, wildly inappropriate grandparents and a fire that threatens everything rounded it out into something special that kept me smiling and made my heart happy from cover-to-cover. I absolutely loved it! Five smooches from me for My Kinda Song by Lacey Black!
