This was one of these stories that I really had to take into consideration and look at objectively because the story matter of infidelity is something I tend to avoid like the plague in my books, and it isn’t due to some terrible past where I had my own heart broken and now I’m transferring that angst, it’s just something I find incredibly distasteful to dive into when I’m looking for a happy ever after feeling. What sort of hero can be redeemed if he has a callous and cheating heart and mind? Well, if you take a chance on Sudden Desires, you’re bound to find out.
Although to say that Griffin is callous, is not entirely accurate. Griffin is suffering in a loveless, fairly demeaning and disintegrating marriage and it’s through this that he has lost the man he used to be, his drive, his passion and his sanity. When he tells you that his wife is neglectful, unappreciative and selfish, he’s right on the money but this story has so many deep, hidden, scandalous layers to it that to leave the story there would be shameful. What was really well done of this book was the fact that we get three points of view- Griffin, his wife Collette and the other woman, Angelina. It is no black and white, right and wrong straightforward story, there are elements at work that are just touched upon, begging for us to question them, hooking us so we need to know more but as it’s a serial, you know you aren’t going to get all the answers you demand.
Sudden Desires has more anti-heroes than you can shake a stick at, so be prepared, there will be some moments you despise, others you will love and more that you will salivate over but just know that there is a lot of darkness, kink, infidelity everywhere and a gripping suspenseful storyline playing throughout and you will either love it or loathe it.

Is he also tired of this charade? Tired of pretending. Has he finally given up on all of this? I need to know. I mean, even though it won’t change much, it will help something. Shanora is a great storyteller, her characters are diverse and complex and realistic and with Sudden Desires, she will alienate some readers but there will be hoardes more that appreciate this book for what it is, a scandalous, sumptuous and downright provocative read.

Every once in awhile a book comes along that reminds me exactly why I love reading so damn much; the beauty and the emotion that flows through each sentence, pours from the characters and dances across my mind and heart in complete awe and produces that giddy excitement when thinking about writing the review because you just NEED people to read this book…this is it. Until I Met You is such a stunning and moving read, contrasting brilliantly between a sweet whimsical romance and a much more intense and overwrought one.
What starts out as one of the sweetest, most playful meetings between our hero and heroine at a ritzy glitzy society function, develops into something indefinable and oh so real within the space of one night, where your choice of ice cream could redefine the rest of your whole life. Taylor and Jude share a soul deep connection almost instantaneously, as though one recognises the internal struggle and heartache in the other and they each cling to each other in safety, trying to obliterate the loneliness that their darker and more complex issues cause them. It’s in this crazy, almost carefree introduction that the most unpredictable and all consuming friendship and love affair blooms and paves the way for one of several difficult fights they have, in order to work their way towards a happy ever after with each other.
This is my first S.L Scott novel and what a way to be introduced to her work. Her writing is literally poetry in motion. The wide scope of emotion and the depth of her words and the meaning behind them all, took my breath away more than once, so much so that I had to bend my husband’s ear after I had read it because I had to share it with someone!

As with any great romance there are outside elements that conspire to keep our fearless twosome apart as well as those that cannot be fought by most ordinary standards, but it is in this fight to be together, that we as the reader are given one of the greatest, most memorable and awe-inspiring romances of 2015. S.L Scott has managed to tackle not one but two very sensitive subject matters in her protagonists, with much aplomb and intelligence, highlighting not only how serious each issue is but also how unbelievably strong and courageous you need to be to keep fighting your way out of the dark. An absolutely sterling piece of writing.

You know a book is going to be funny when, flipping through the pages to get to the start, the legal mumbo-jumbo at the beginning catches your eye and makes you laugh out loud. The third book in this fantastic series is well written, sexy and chock full of laugh-till-ya-cry antics, comments and moments. I think one of the marks of a truly talented author is the ability to not only keep the reader laughing but also effortlessly and naturally switching tones to serious – or seriously sexy – when the mood requires it. These two have done this over and over throughout not only this book, but also the entire series.
Incredibly talented, Sarah O’Rourke is an author who’s releases I eagerly anticipate. Their stories are always well written, well developed and rich in descriptive details. The characters they’ve created in this series are so endearing, you cannot help but get swept off your feet in their romances and their stories. It’s back to the edge of the seat for me as I patiently await the next release in this series. #HangOnZekeYouAreNext

Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life – I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations – regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal… I don’t want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I’m going to tell you about Kindle.
I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I’ll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died – weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn’t have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It’s everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness – it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn’t a time she wasn’t there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It’s its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn’t be here today without her.

I was introduced to Tess Oliver’s sexy, contemporary and stylish level of writing when I managed to consume her Custom Culture series inside a week and every book she’s ever written thereafter inside three months. Amazingly Cole crosses into both her Custom Culture family and her Strangely Normal rock star family bringing them all together once again, lending a level of whimsical nostalgia to this story, but if you haven’t had the chance to read either, fear not for Cole is the fresh beginning for a brand new fast paced and super sexy series.

Tess has a tendency to write her boys just a little misunderstood and bad, and to be perfectly honest that’s exactly how we like them, but what is also equally thrilling, is sitting back and enjoying their wild ride and unpredictable descent into the unfathomable-love. Cole King is rock star royalty, or at least his superstar dad Nicky is and by familial association so too is Cole but this bad boy with a heart of gold and an adrenaline addiction is paving his own way in the world of Freestyle Motocross riding, taking along his best friends and their hilarious observations and anecdotes for the ride.
Kensington ( what a fantastic name!) is our heroine of the piece. A winery heiress with a penchant for horses and in posession of a very big heart, Kensington is drafted into Cole’s exciting and dangerous world and into the sphere and heart of young Cole. Although it is a ridiculously cute but calamitous meeting of these two seemingly different protagonists, it paves the way for these two complex and multifaceted heroes to find out they have more in common and a deeper connection than either thought possible.
As always, Tess is a word maestro, she brings the steam, eloquence and thrill, but not before building upon all of that riotous sexual tension and witty flirtation, making sure her characters are engaging and interesting. I was so ecstatic to find out this was a spin-off from one of my best loved series’ and stand alone books and I was beyond thrilled with how Cole turned out. It is jam-packed with suspense, idiot men making idiot mistakes, a striking heroine, some tender moments, hot sizzling scenes and a beautifully crafted romance set in a male dominated sport.
