With Landon and Autumn’s paths crossing, they both are faced with obstacles they never imagined they would have to overcome. Will they help each other with their struggles, or be left to tackle them on their own?

Excerpt

Without looking behind me at the approaching danger, I plant my feet, pull my arm back, and throw the ball with all my might. For a second, everything seems to be moving in slow motion. I’m watching the ball fly slowly through the air, waiting to hit the hands of the guy who’s about to win it for us. But before I can see if the catch is complete, a 350-pound freight train crashes into my left side, knocking the air right out of me. The momentum from the hit jerks my head to the left as my body gets jarred to the right and slammed into the ground. I hear the pop before I feel the excruciating pain. It’s sending sharp jolts of what feels like knives stabbing me straight up my left leg. It’s so intense it instantly makes me nauseous.
I can’t hear anything as I roll back and forth clutching my knee in agony. This is bad, real bad. Gritting my teeth, I try to hold in the groans that want to escape my throat as I wait for the training staff to get to me on the field.
“What’s wrong, Landon?” one of the trainers asks while bending down to get close to me.
“My knee,” I moan out through clenched teeth.
“Okay, can you walk with some help?”
“I could probably hop toward the sideline, but I won’t make it to the locker room.” My mind is going all over the fucking place with the possibilities of what could be wrong.
“Alright, let’s go.” He nods at two of my teammates and each of them grabs an arm and helps me to my feet. A hiss passes through my teeth as I slightly move my left knee on accident. With all of my weight on my right leg and my arms slung over my teammates’ shoulders, I manage to hobble my way to the sideline where transportation is waiting for me. Once I sit down, a relieved breath emerges from me. I’m still in a lot of pain, but I’m glad I made it.
The cart starts moving to take me to the doctor, who I’m sure is waiting on my arrival. Before I’m taken away, I glance up at the stands to find Valerie. Her mouth is hanging slightly open and all the color has drained from her face. I give her a thumbs up and try to put a small smile on my face to let her know I’m okay.
I know I’m anything but.

Excerpt:

Words are not enough, but I’m not sure he is willing or able to give me any more than that. Why am I just awakening to this reality after fifteen years of marriage? Soberly, I realize that my mind is finally clear of the fog that has surrounded it. I’m no longer the naïve young girl afraid of life without love who married this man. I’m no longer the woman who had resigned herself to a fate of mediocrity. I am a passionate woman, full of life and vitality, full of love for the man I pledged my life to, wanting – no wait – requiring a life of exhilarating passion.

I sigh heavily as my visions of my dream life collide with the stark reality of my current state. This conversation isn’t over, but I don’t know when I’ll have the courage or opportunity to press the issue. For now, I’m quiet and reserved on the outside and tormented and aching on the inside. I remain curled up in the chair, registering nothing. My mind is as blank and as empty as my heart.

About the Author:

I’m Lorina Lynne and I unexpectedly discovered a passion for writing recently and am exploring this new revelation. I just published my first novel, SideTracked. I was inspired by two of my favorite authors, Regina Duke and Lucian Bane. When not writing or working at my real job in the healthcare industry, I love to read and promote other indie authors. Some fun facts – I drink tea (not coffee), I’m a closet chocoholic (it has to be really dark – the chocolate, that is), and I’m a sushi addict. Oh, and I love to scuba dive. Under the water is the most tranquil place on earth.

Review

Julie has been married for 15 years, but recently the 40 year old, is feeling lost, distant and lonely when it comes to her marriage but talking to her husband Justin about it gets her no where. So Julie takes a break, a chance to be away from her husband and think…in Las Vegas.

This trip leads Julie to more than just thinking and she ends up spending time with others that she hasn’t planned to spend time with.

Will she end up resolving her issues with her husband? Will she follow through on plans that will lead her to feeling no more than guilt and upset? Or will she discover that maybe it isn’t too late to change who you are or what you want?

I did thoroughly enjoy this read and was impressed with it considering this was the authors debut. It was a storyline unlike anything I had read before, which kept me captivated and interested with the plot and the characters.

The plot was different to what I have read before and I truly felt I was reading something original which is sometimes hard to come by nowadays. There was plenty of dynamics within the story including romance, passion, twists, laughter, love and pain. It explored a deeper issue of guilt and loss of identity and passion within a marriage which was a nice and deeper issue that added another layer to the story.

I truly felt for Julie. In such a difficult situation, feeling stuck in her marriage and wanting something else but dealing with the consequences and fully that accompanied that.

There are some BIG twists within the story and characters you may not like to start aren’t at all as they seem. I sometimes thing twists are a bit too obvious but with this story I was definitely shocked when they were revealed.

Overall an original story which is fast moving, interesting, shocking with the twists and a story that has made me eager to read more from this author.

Title: Living with Regret (Rain #3)
Author: Lisa De Jong
Age Group: NA
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Cover Designer: Mae I Design

Description:

I had my whole life mapped out. Perfect guy. Perfect friends. Everything was exactly the way I wanted it.

That was until that night–the one I can’t remember. It’s all my fault, and now the memories are all I have left of him. Of us.

My guilt drowns me until Sam Shea steps back into my life and helps me to the surface. He slowly opens my heart and crawls deep inside before I even realize what’s happening. I know I don’t deserve him.

While I’m trying to get used to my new life, pieces of that night slowly start to come back to me. Lies and secrets shatter everything I thought I knew.

Maybe I’m not the only one living with regret.

Excerpt:

I think back to the day Cory first asked
me out. He was that guy … the one who girls have in mind when they get dressed
for school in the morning. The one you can’t help but smile at when you walk
past, but you tuck your hair behind your ear casually, hoping he doesn’t notice
that you’re staring.
I’d gone to the first high school
party with my friend, Madison. It was a night I’d never forget.
“Will
you quit pulling at your skirt already?” Madison says, pushing my hand from the
hem I’d been tugging at since we walked into the packed house. “It’s supposed
to be that short.”
“I
can’t believe you made me wear this.”
She
rolls her eyes. “You shouldn’t hide your body … especially those legs.”
Shaking
my head, I follow behind her as we weave our way through the crowd. The good
thing about growing up in a small town is I pretty much know everyone here, but
it’s still a who’s who of our high school. I don’t think we should even be
here.
I
spot Sam, my next-door neighbor across the room and start toward him. “Where
are you going?” Madison asks, wrapping her hand around my forearm.
“I’m
going to go talk to Sam.”
“Seriously,
Rachel. You shouldn’t be hanging around him.”
“Why?”
I ask, waving in his direction.
“You
don’t want to be the girl who’s seen with him. People will talk. They’ll make
assumptions.”
Sam’s
quiet and has an aura of darkness that follows him wherever he goes. It might
be the black leather jacket he wears or the classic car he drives. Whatever it
is, most of the girls in our high school find it irresistible, and while some
have had their shot with him, it never goes beyond a night in the backseat of
his Camaro. I asked him about it once, and he told me life’s simpler if you
don’t let yourself get too attached to anyone. It seemed honest because I’m the
only person he’s really ever attached himself to.
People
in town talk about him like he’s a destined felon, simply because his dad went
down that path when he was younger. It didn’t matter that it was almost twenty
years ago when his dad had one minor theft conviction and way before they even
moved here. I guess, in their minds, crime is a genetic, chronic disease but
they don’t know Sam like I do. Over the last seven years, I’ve spent more time
with him than I have anyone in this crowded house—Madison included.
Before
I have a chance to argue with her, I feel a hand squeeze my shoulder, and I spin
around. Cory Connors stands behind me with a cocky grin spread across his
handsome face. His eyes are even bluer than I’d thought, and his light brown
hair is sun-kissed from spending hours outside this summer. He’s the definition
of perfect.
“Hey,
it’s Rachel, right?” he says in his deep, masculine voice. It floats through my
mind like sugar, coating every part of me in happiness.
“Yeah,”
I say, trying to pry my eyes from his full pink lips. They’re hard to look at
without imagining what they’d feel like on mine. Not that I’d really know what
that feels like since I’ve never been kissed. I think about it a lot, though. A
whole lot.
His
grin widens as he follows the path of my eyes. “What are you looking at?”
I
swallow the lump in my throat, shifting my focus up. “Umm … nothing. I mean. I
was—”
He
laughs. “Hey, I was only teasing.” He reaches his hand up toward my face but
quickly pulls it back. “Did you just get here?”
I
nod, still shocked that Cory is actually talking to me. I’m afraid if I say too
much, it’s all going to come out looking like a pile of rubble. And this is
probably the one and only time he’s ever going to talk to me. I have to make it
count.
“I
was just heading outside if you want to come with me,” he says, interrupting my
thoughts.
I’m
frozen in place, staring into his glassy blues. This is my chance, but I’m not
sure I’m ready for it. “I don’t know.”
Madison
pushes against my back, practically sending me straight into his chest. “I’ll
just wait in here, Rachel. Go ahead.”
Before
I have time to argue, he wraps his hand around mine and pulls me toward the
back of the old farmhouse. As I follow close behind, I glance around the packed
room noticing all the sets of eyes on us. Most notably is Sam whose hooded eyes
follow me. When I notice him pushing back against the wall, I shake my head.
He’s always been my protector, but he’s a senior and won’t be around next year.
I need to learn to navigate through life on my own. He stops, his eyes
narrowing in on me, but I quickly look away before he convinces me otherwise.
When
Cory and I step outside, he still doesn’t let go of my hand. I don’t pull it
away either because it feels too good. “Are you having fun?” he asks, so close
I can feel his warm breath against my cheek.
I
open my mouth, but quickly close it again, trying my best to compose myself.
The last thing I want to do is sound like a complete idiot the minute I’m alone
with the god of our freshman class. “I just got here,” I finally reply, gazing
up at him. He’s lit only by the moonlight, and Cory under the moonlight is
something to be seen.
“Well,
you’re staying for a while, aren’t you?” He smiles, and I swear I’ve never seen
dimples like his.
I
nod, feeling his warm finger brush against the skin below my ear. “Good.” His
voice is soft but smooth, like melted butter. Warm tingles run the entire
length of my body. Everything about this suddenly feels right.
We’d been together ever since that
night. He was my first date, first kiss, and first love. I let him have
everything because I thought he’d be my only. Things have changed now, and
nothing will ever be the same. Everything I thought, felt, wanted is gone, and
I’d do anything to have him back.

Wednesday by Clare James Promotional Event and Giveaway

Title: Wednesday
Author: Clare James
Age: New Adult
Genre: Dark Contemporary Romance
Publication Date:  9/29/14
Her. Him. Alone. Beach house. Every Wednesday.
Clothing optional.

Twenty-one-year-old Aria Prince has just moved
back to her hometown to start over after a painful divorce. She’s always prided
herself on being an early bloomer, but had no idea she’d be married, divorced,
and the mother of a toddler by twenty-one. Surely menopause was just a few
months away, especially considering the hot flashes and night sweats. Or was
that just exhaustion?

Unlike her friends who were at school, going
to parties, and sowing their oats—wild and otherwise—Aria’s days were measured
in the number of orders she took at her family’s restaurant, the chapters she
read in her nursing text, the amount of Cheerios she cleaned up off the floor,
and the wet kisses she received from her son.
And that was just fine with her.

But when she began running into her former
best-friend Tristan Green—who was home taking care of his sick father—at every
turn, she remembered what it felt like to be just Aria. Not a single mother, or
sleep-deprived nursing student, or royal screw up. And though she didn’t even
have time to shave her legs, let alone consider a sex life, Tristan makes an
offer she’d be a fool to refuse.

Each day they’d give themselves to those who
needed them. Every day – except Wednesday. Wednesday they’d take what they
needed from each other.
Did she forget to mention Tristan was
gorgeous?

Or that they hated each other?

Well, you know what they say about the line
between love and hate … it’s a skinny-ass bitch. The question was, could they
keep their feelings out of it?

Synopsis

THE THRILLING, EXPLOSIVE, AND PROVOCATIVE DEBUT FROM NEW ADULT ROMANCE AUTHOR SETH KING

In a stage of life when everything seems daunting, the fight to find love can still be the scariest thing of all – but in college senior Taylor Haney’s case, it may have just become downright deadly.

I’m bad – but I don’t want to be bad anymore.

In fact, leaving my Nashville life behind and swearing off love for good was the only thing keeping me from falling back into my old ways and fucking up again, and I was doing pretty well at pretending to be good – until I met Taylor Haney, that is.

Now I can think of nothing but Taylor. Her shy smile…the way she fidgets with her hands when she gets nervous…the sounds she makes when I tie her to my bedposts and go to town on her…the way I get a glimpse of forever when I look into her hazel eyes…

And that little lovey feeling is the worst thing of all, because it means I’m breaking all my old rules now – and that means nobody is safe. Especially Taylor.

Because the last girl I fell in love with is currently lying in Brentwood Cemetery.

Review

Alright, guys.  There is a new NA Romance author on the block and his name is Seth King.  Yesterday, he kindly asked me to share a link of his debut novel, The Goode Fight and I chatted with him a bit and decided he was a nice guy and I would give his new NA novel a try.  (It was $.99 and you know I cannot NOT buy a $.99 book 😉 )

So, I have read quite a few debut novels and a lot of them I can’t even make it though the first couple of chapters due to bad grammar and poor writing, usually.  A 25 year old Mr. King surprised me.  The writing is shockingly good, and the story even better.

Stellen Goode is the talk of Durham; sexy beyond all reason and celibate.  Clumsy and silly Taylor Haney wants him for her own, but Stell has a volatile personality and is keeping secrets from Taylor.  He scares and excites her in equal parts and she is bound and determined to make him break his vow of celibacy.

Don’t you see the signs?  Can’t you see that I’m a monster?  Don’t you know what’s good for you?

OK. so a few things that I really liked about this book first;  I loved how the sex scenes were all from Stellen’s point of view.  It made it extra, I don’t know, hot maybe?  Yeah, definitely hot.  The way he described his actions, how she felt, and the sounds that she made was extremely erotic.  My very favorite of those scenes just happens to be the very first one.  The cross, good lord.  Whew! (You must let me know when you read that part.  I need to know what you think!)

“So, it turns out Mr. Holy has a bad side after all.  It’s perfect:  he’s like a Christian in the streets and a freak in the sheets.”

Stell is kind of perfect.  He is gorgeous and brooding and all alpha male; my favorite kind of book boyfriend really.  You know the kind?  The one with MAJOR issues!  (sigh)  I kind of loved him.  He was all hard on the outside but a big gooey teddy bear on the inside.  He is sweet, thoughtful and most of all alpha and I love me an alpha book boyfriend.  Whew, Stellen, you are sexy as sin. 😉

Whatever the female equivalent of blue balls is called, I have them.

I liked Tay just as much.  She is clumsy and silly; loves to eat and read.  What’s not to like?  She goes for what she wants and I do really enjoy that in a female lead.

Let us get to the nitty gritty of what I may not have enjoyed as much about this book.  I really REALLY love dialogue in my books.  Some books that I read just don’t have enough for me, but this one maybe had a little too much.  Sometimes I wanted Taylor and Stellen to skip the idle chit and chat and get on with it, if you know what I mean?  LOL!  Maybe I was just in a weird mood.  Hah!  So, basically I just felt like the book was a little wordy in some parts and that the story maybe could have moved a bit faster for my taste.

But, overall it is a really good debut novel from a very young man who I think has a pretty good future in this business.  This is not a standalone novel and the books kinda leaves you hanging so be prepared for that!  I do need to ask this Mr. Seth King, before I wrap things up!  Do you happen to have an earlobe fetish we need to know about?  There was a lot of earlobe lovin in this novel!  😉

Vancouver

Josh

I get an erection the moment I first lay eyes on her. She looks like no one I’ve ever seen before. Tall, curvy, with thick superhero thighs and a round ass, showcased in black Lycra that hugs every slope. Her big, high breasts and small waist are accentuated by her white tank top. Her body has just enough meat for me to grab a good hold of, and I imagine running my hands over her hills and valleys. I want to imagine more than that, but I’m horny as hell as it is and my erection is already inappropriate, considering I’m in public and all.

She finally looks my way, aware that I’ve been staring like an idiot. She catches my gaze, her eyes twinkling a vibrant yellow, her pupils large and wet. She smirks at me, causing a shower of glitter to rain from her cheeks, and brushes her purple hair over her shoulder before she bends over to slide a gun out from the harness strapped to her boot.

I try not to stare into the blinding sun of her tanned cleavage. I try to think of something clever to say to her. Something along the lines of, “I think I know who you are, but shouldn’t you have one eyeball instead of two?”

But it’s she who comes over to me, gun comfortably in her hand, and stops only a foot away. When she smiles at me, I see fangs.

Now I’m really confused. At least I know what to say now.

“Who are you?” I ask her, happy that my voice is hard and deep. I hope it makes her think of sex.

She raises a perfect brow and up close I’m struck by how bronzed her skin tone is. I don’t think it’s makeup. Not many people in Vancouver manage to keep their tan into the fall.

“You don’t know?” she asks. She has an accent. I immediately want to say she’s from England but that’s not it. It’s not Australia either.

“I thought I did,” I say. “But your eyes and fangs are throwing me all off.”

“I’m vampire Leela, from Futurama.”

I grin at her, happy that I was half-right. “Shouldn’t you just have one eyeball then?”

She reaches into her other boot and effortlessly pulls out an eye mask. It’s painted white, with a black pupil in the middle. She waves it at me. “I put it on for photos but I can barely see out of it. I walked into a wall, twice.” She raises two fingers for emphasis. “I figured I’ll just be a vampire the rest of the time.”

I can seriously listen to her talk all day. “I don’t remember any episode where Leela turned into a vampire.” Maybe it hinted at my secret nerd-boy status, but I watched the cartoon Futurama religiously.

She wets her lips for a moment and I try my hardest not to adjust my boxer briefs underneath my costume. “I like to think she’ll become a vampire in future episodes. Or maybe she was one once and Matt Groening scrapped the idea. I believe characters have more to their lives than the lives we are shown.”

“Kind of like people,” I say, hoping I come across as somewhat profound.

She gives me a slight nod – indicating I’m not as profound as I thought – and looks me up and down. “I just had to come over here to tell you you’re the best-dressed guy here. I mean, that must have taken some effort.”

I grin at her. “Game of Thrones, fan?” I ask.

Another sly nod. “Of course. But who doesn’t love Khal Drogo?”

“Last year I dressed up as the author George R.R. Martin,” I tell her. “People kept mistaking me for Ernest Hemingway, even though I was carrying a bucket of fried chicken around with me and had a pillow stuffed down my shirt.”

“So you went for something sexier…” she says as she lets her eyes trail over my body, which automatically makes me stand up straighter. I haven’t left much to the imagination. Jesus sandals, weird billowy pants that I think some granola dude dropped off at the thrift store, plus a leather corset over my abs and leather cuffs on my forearms. My upper body is bare and covered with bronzer and streaks of blue paint and I found a black wig with a long braid down the back. It kind of works. I guess if you don’t know the show, I look like some sparkling warrior who wears too much eye-makeup.

“Hey, girls can’t be the only ones to slut it up at Halloween.”

She raises her brow.

And once again, my foot goes in my mouth. “I mean, not that you’re dressed slutty or anything, I just mean–”

She laughs. “Don’t worry about it,” she says with a wave of her hand. “Everyone here is dressed slutty. That’s what the holiday is all about, isn’t it? Pretending to be someone else? This is actually my first Halloween, so I’m feeling a little overdressed. Or super nerdy.” She looks around her at the drunk girls—referees and fairies and nurses in wonderfully indecent outfits—and shrugs.

“I wholeheartedly disagree,” I say, trying not to ogle her all over again. I pause. “Wait, your first Halloween?”

“First proper Halloween. The North American kind. We don’t really celebrate it the way you guys do.”

I cross my arms, insanely curious now. “And who is we?”

“New Zealand,” she says. “I’m from Auckland.”

“Nice,” I say, “I was going to ask if you were from New Zealand.”

Her lips twitch and she gives me a shake of her head. “No you weren’t.”

“Well, I definitely wasn’t going to ask if you were from Australia. I know how you feel about that.”

For a moment her features look strained, then it passes. “Kind of like if I asked if you were American.”

“Exactly.”

“So,” she muses and steps closer. She lays her hand on my bicep and I suck in my breath. “Are the tattoos real?” She removes her hand and peers at her palm which is streaked with bronze shimmer shit. “Because your tan sure isn’t.”

Damn, I hope I’m not blushing. I clear my throat. “The tattoos are real, I assure you. I needed a bit of, um, help to get that Dothraki tan going on.”

“And this?” She reaches for my face and I am frozen in place while she gently fingers my goatee and beard. She grabs the end of it, which I had attempted to braid, and gives it a little tug.

“Ouch,” I say, though it doesn’t really hurt. It turns me on instead. Big surprise.

“So it is real,” she says. She sounds impressed.

I shrug. “I had a month to grow it in. I say, it’s all or nothing. But tomorrow everything is getting shaved off.”

She frowns and lets go. “Pity. I love a scruffy guy.”

I can’t help but smile. “Lucky for you, I’m scruffy for at least twelve more hours.”

Her mouth twists into a wry smile. I realize I’m being kind of forward with her, but at the same time, she just felt my bicep and fondled my man hair. Then again, I’ve never been very good at reading women. Half of them seem to love my tats and black hair and piercings; the other half seem to think I’m a delinquent from Skid row.

I’m wondering what she thinks about me when I realize I don’t know her name.

“I’m Josh, by the way,” I say to her, holding out my hand.

She gives me a surprisingly firm shake in return. “Gemma.”

“That’s a beautiful name,” I tell her. Even though I’m sincere, I’m aware that it’s very much a pick-up line.

Gemma snorts and it’s absolutely adorable. “Right. Well, in New Zealand, Gemmas are everywhere.”

“But I bet they don’t look like you.” Okay, so now I’m totally swerving into pick-up line territory. I push it further. “Can I buy you a drink?”

And there the question sits, floating between us, along with the haze of pot smoke that hangs in the air. The rejection might come fast, or if I’m lucky, not at all. But it’s Halloween, I have a three-beer buzz going on, and I’m feeling pretty good.

Still, when she nods and says, “Sure” I feel my whole body lift with relief.

*Excerpt from Brat* By then we’d finished eating, and when the waitress asked about dessert we both declined. We traded glances across the table, and I could tell Chase was as anxious to get on with the reason for our little date in the first place. The waitress brought the check, and after arguing for five minutes over who would pay, Chase physically wrestled it from my hand. “I think I can afford a steak and a salad,” he grumbled once he’d overpowered me. “Relax, princess, this one’s on me.” After he paid, we left the restaurant and took our time walking toward Chase’s car. The sun had set and the night was clear and balmy, knocking off the chill of the restaurant comfortably. Once inside the car, Chase turned the engine on and then faced me, his stare pointed. “What is this, Chloe?” he asked, finally cutting right to the chase. “I know we said what happened this summer would be a one-time thing, and I can see how my showing up here might have shocked you. Maybe I was a little too forward, and my talking about having something more between us than a one night stand might have freaked you out a bit. I don’t blame you. It freaks me out, too. Neither of us has the rosiest past, and we couldn’t be more different as people.” He leaned toward me over the middle dash, one hand coming up to the nape of my neck. His fingers slid through my hair, trailing down to my bare shoulder, sending little shivers down my spine, which curled in my middle and shot down straight between my legs. I swallowed noisily as he came closer, his lips brushing my ear. “But damn it, Chloe, I can’t get the smell of you out of my head, or the taste of you off my tongue.” A gasp caught in my throat, and I couldn’t pull away from him. His lips found my neck, his breath racing over my skin. He kissed me there, tracing a path down toward my shoulder and one of the thin straps holding my dress up. “Chase,” I whimpered as he kissed my shoulder, his fingertips causing goose bumps to break out over my arm. “I know it’s crazy,” he murmured, “but don’t you remember how good we were together?” I shivered, remembering a tangle of arms and legs and the humid mists of the rainforest. My thighs clenched at the memory of how he’d felt between them. “Yes,” I whispered, “I do.” Chase’s lips found my jawline, tracing a slow path toward my mouth. “I remember, too,” he sighed. “Kissing you, touching you, untying the strings of that sexy little bikini of yours.” He gave my spaghetti strap a little tug for emphasis, just as I turned my head toward his. “That pretty little sound you made in the back of your throat when I touched you. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it … about you. What about you? Do you ever think about it? About me?” “All the time,” I whispered against his lips just before he kissed me. Review

This story is a follow up from V-card, however it’s focus is on other characters from the first book; Chloe and Chase. For these two it definitely wasn’t love at first sight, or even like at first sight but a one night stand between them leads them to being tied together in a way they both can’t deny; Chloe being pregnant. Will they keep the baby? Will they go from lust, to like, to love? Or are they just two different people from two different worlds?

“I couldn’t tell him how much it freaked me out, the possibility of losing yourself in someone so much that you start to lose yourself.”

I enjoyed V-card and I enjoyed this one too. It’s a fun, light, easy and enjoyable read that had me laughing, shedding a few tears and I found it thoroughly entertaining.

Chloe and Chase are both characters I really liked. Chloe was funny and actually mature for her age despite her Brat and Princess status. She was very grown up about everything that was going on and was brave and strong throughout the story. Chase was the charming boy next door who was honourable, cute and was always standing by Chloe.

“‘I’m your brat now.’ I said huskily. ‘You can do whatever you want with me.”

This book was quite short and I feel the plot could have been developed into something longer because it had the potential to be a really great, LONG story and I actually wanted more. Despite this though I did still really enjoy the plot line and I loved the decision that was made in the end about the baby, I thought it was not only realistic but done in such a sweet way.

“Nothing had happened the way I planned… but plans are for losers, and I wouldn’t have changed it for anything in the world.”

Overall an enjoyable read and this author has definitely got the potential to expand her writing to longer books so her plot and characters can be developed even more.
