Lila Monroe’s The Small-Town Seduction Plan is a fun and amusing romantic comedy set against the charming small-town backdrop of Blackberry Cove. Monroe crafts an entertaining narrative around Avery, the Hollywood-starlet-turned-runaway-bride who is seeking refuge from her wedding that wasn’t, and Duke, a ruggedly handsome yet grumpy hero dedicated to restoring historic homes. Lila’s natural storytelling style shines through in every chapter, seamlessly blending her sense of humor with heart and heat. The witty banter between Avery and Duke crackles with energy and kept me tapping my Kindle to see what will happen next.
The chemistry between Avery and Duke was palpable, making for some truly memorable and spicy moments.
