Bridesmaid by Chance by Meghan Quinn was a hilarious, heart-fluttering best-friend’s-sister rom-com that delivered all of the grumpy/sunshine, age-gap, forbidden tension and swoon-worthy moments! This marriage-of-convenience romance paired Hudson, the irresistibly brooding billionaire, with Sloane, his whip-smart assistant—who’s had a long-time secret crush on him and also happens to be his best friend’s little sister. Their chemistry was pure fire, sparking with every sharp-witted exchange and loaded glance, while the forced proximity of their fake marriage dialed the steam to unforgettable levels.

Quinn’s signature humor shines as Hudson and Sloane navigate their tangled web of growing feelings, loyalty, and the hilarious chaos of keeping up appearances. The banter was razor-sharp, the sexual tension is palpable, and the emotional vulnerability beneath their antics added an emotional punch. This story features Miles, the irresistible NHL player with a heart of gold who falls hard for Leighton, the one that got away and resurfaces as the off-limits coach’s daughter and team photographer. Chapter 1

ROMAN

“No fuckin’ way.”

Standing at the front of the room, looking like a damn vision, is the woman of my dreams. Quite literally, she’s been the star of them for the past three-plus years. At least once a month I wake up with a massive hard-on, the wisps of yet another dream featuring her slow to fade. I love those nights as much as I loathe them. They’re a reminder of what I had, briefly, and lost.

“Alexandria Forrester comes to us from the Ontario League…”

Coach Vander Zee keeps talking, but I don’t hear any of it, because I’m too busy staring at the siren of a woman next to him and the GM, trying to figure out what the hell is going on.

And now I have a last name to go with the one I groaned and whispered like a prayer.

Alexandria Forrester.

Lexi.

It was hands down the best forty-eight hours of my life. Most of it was spent naked.
