REVIEW

For years Riletta has been a loner, hated by her family, no friends, with only her little brother who she loved and he loved her back; she would do anything for him, even try and get close to the Wolfe brothers so she can stay out of trouble and stay in her brothers life. But Drasko and Trent are not like normal guys; they have a fierce loyalty, and don’t let anyone get close but Riletta is up for the challenge and she might just be strong enough, cocky enough and so un-effected by the brothers that they will want to get to know her.

“The truth always comes back to haunt you. It can be cleaned from your hands but like blood, it always stains the soul. It cannot be expunged—not even through sheer will. And now mine was exposed—undone before my very eyes.”

This was a read with a really creative and interesting plot line but with the tell tale signs of a new author. That’s not to say it wasn’t an enjoyable read but it did not flow as well as other stories, which is the reason behind it being a 3.5 read rather than a 4 star.

“I’m a hunter. I’ll give chase. Run, but I’ll find you. Put up your walls, but I’ll bring them down. Then it will just be you and me—no barriers, no pretenses, no secrets. You’ll be laid out bare. Only then will I take you.”

I loved the main characters. Riletta was so feisty, so strong and determined and I honestly loved her. She wouldn’t let the Wolfe brothers intimidate her and she wouldn’t let her vile family beat her down; sure their words and actions affected her sometimes but she always came back fighting.

“Loneliness was not my weakness. It was my weapon.”

The brothers were my kind of guys; cocky, funny, in charge and slightly intimidating. Trent was hilarious and I loved his more laid back personality. Whereas Drasko was more broody, silent and had an air of authority about him. They complimented each other perfectly and you could see why together they held such a high status.

“I was right before. You’re alive but something stops you from living. You think that you’re unsalvageable because you are unheard or misunderstood. But I understand you, Riletta, even without words, I hear you.”

The story was fascinating. It was a bit hard to follow sometimes or to try and gauge where it was going but that kept me on my toes. All of the lies, betrayals and secrets really kept you bouncing back and forth about what I thought was happening. I needed to know why her family hates her so much? I needed to know why the brothers were so powerful and what secrets they had? So many questions and some of them do get answered in this book but we are also left on a massive cliffhanger- which has left me reeling.

“I will build you up until the mere vibration of sensation, of that less than a touch will catapult you into a minefield of inexplicable rapture that will have you reaching the seventh heaven.”

Interesting, fast paced, secrets and lies, betrayal, passion, and all forms of relationships is packed full in this book and I now can’t wait to find out what happens next and to find the answers to more of my questions.

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn’t taken her first breath!). “Dirty talk me, you sexy giant.”

Max Monroe has quickly risen to the ranks as an absolute favorite romantic comedy writer of mine. By combining witty banter, hilarious situations, sweet declarations and a bit of drama the stories in the Billionaire Bad Boys series are addicting and oh so satisfying. I thought I was in love with Kline and that no one could top him but Thatcher Kelly’s deviousness mixed with sweetness has him beat.

‘When in the hell had he become so vital to my daily life? It had to be the Supercock.’

Thatch and Cassie are the perfect balance to each other. Neither let’s the others pranks go unchecked and when both want something they commit one hundred percent. Cassie is fun, feisty and fierce. From the get go she is determined to mess with Thatcher’s head and instead of calling her on it he plays along and messes with her right back. Soon what started as a joke turns very real and what was once just lust and friendship has become much more real and intense.

“When it comes to you, I have an endless supply of sweet, Cassie.”

I spent so much of Banking The Billionaire swooning over Thatch. He was so much more sincere and loving than I ever expected and I never saw his backstory coming. I was deeply touched by Thatch and Cassie and their devotion to each other and desire to be in a real relationship despite neither having much experience in relationships.

“Cool it, Crazy, or else I’ll just keep spanking.”

If you love a romantic comedy with wit, banter and two semi assholes for the main characters than this is the book for you. I devoured it all and cannot wait for this secretive writing duo to give me more.

I KNOW, I KNOW! If you have been following this series as diligently as I have, you are probably in an upheaval about this book. Everyone seems to be huffing and puffing about it. I will let you guys know right now that what you think might happen, well, it does. But, Shay Savage managed to pull it off tastefully and it isn’t full throttle in your face. It was well done and honestly, stuff like this occurs in Historical’s. It just does.

“There is nothing I have to offer you except grief!”

So let’s move on because this one was loaded with the kind of gut churning angst I adore. And so much betrayal and drama to boot! I am hooked on this series. I cannot wait until the next installment. Because we are left with a ridiculous amount of questions. And I am literally dying for Branford to make some heads roll!

He stopped speaking abruptly, and I could sense the pounding of his heart in his chest and see the panic in his eyes.

“I did not want you to hear him speak such things,” he said.

“He has said worse,” I said, presuming.

“He has.” I saw and felt his anger blaze in his eyes. “I will not allow you to be touched, my wife. I would…I would sacrifice my kingdom before I would allow that to happen.”

“Branford, you cannot—”

“The truth always comes back to haunt you. It can be cleaned from your hands but like blood, it always stains the soul. It cannot be expunged—not even through sheer will. And now mine was exposed—undone before my very eyes.”

This was a read with a really creative and interesting plot line but with the tell tale signs of a new author. That’s not to say it wasn’t an enjoyable read but it did not flow as well as other stories, which is the reason behind it being a 3.5 read rather than a 4 star.

“I’m a hunter. I’ll give chase. Run, but I’ll find you. Put up your walls, but I’ll bring them down. Then it will just be you and me—no barriers, no pretenses, no secrets. You’ll be laid out bare. Only then will I take you.”

I loved the main characters. Riletta was so feisty, so strong and determined and I honestly loved her. She wouldn’t let the Wolfe brothers intimidate her and she wouldn’t let her vile family beat her down; sure their words and actions affected her sometimes but she always came back fighting.

“Loneliness was not my weakness. It was my weapon.”

“I was right before. You’re alive but something stops you from living. You think that you’re unsalvageable because you are unheard or misunderstood. But I understand you, Riletta, even without words, I hear you.”

“I will build you up until the mere vibration of sensation, of that less than a touch will catapult you into a minefield of inexplicable rapture that will have you reaching the seventh heaven.”

Interesting, fast paced, secrets and lies, betrayal, passion, and all forms of relationships is packed full in this book and I now can’t wait to find out what happens next and to find the answers to more of my questions.

“You need to leave,” I declared.

His brows drew together a moment before his expression showed clearly that comprehension had dawned.

Sadly, comprehension might have dawned but he didn’t leave.

He crouched by the bed and offered in a soft voice, “You need me to carry you to the other room so you can have a bit of privacy?”

For a second he just stared at me.

Then he threw his head back and burst into loud, deep, beautiful laughter.

I wanted to throw something at him.

Unfortunately, in my current position, this was not an option open to me.

“I fail to see what’s amusing,” I noted.

Well!

Who did he think he was, telling me what I would or would not do?

“As you’ve determined,” I began, “this is not the first time I’ve been in this condition so I do believe that I know best what I’m capable of and…”

I stopped speaking because he came slightly out of his crouch so he could put his face into my face and he was no longer looking mirthful.

He was looking angry.

Very angry.

“That was when you had no one lookin’ out for you but that’s not the case anymore. So this is how it’s gonna be,” he announced.

He then, to my shock, irritation and outrage, announced how it was going to be.

Like he had the right to tell me how it was going to be!
