Synopsis

Honor, integrity, and loyalty are how Deputy US Marshal Kreed Sinacola lives his life. A former SEAL now employed by the Special Operations Group of the US Marshal Service, Kreed spent most of his life working covert operations and avoiding relationships. Never one to mix business with pleasure, his boundaries blur and his convictions are put to the test when he finally comes face-to-face with the hot computer geek he’s been partnered with. Hell-bent on closing the ongoing case for his longtime friend, he pushes past his own limits and uncovers more than he expects.

Aaron Stuart strives for one thing: justice. Young and full of idealism, his highly sought after computer skills land him a position with the National Security Agency. Aaron’s biggest hazard at his job is cramped fingers, but all that changes when he is drawn into the middle of a dangerous federal investigation. Aaron gets more than he bargained for when the FBI partners him with a handsome and tempting deputy US marshal. His attraction to the inked up, dark-haired man provides another kind of threat altogether. Aaron tries desperately to place a firewall around his heart and fight his developing feelings, knowing one misstep on his part could ultimately destroy him.

The solution isn’t as easy as solving the case, which is treacherous enough as it is. But the growing sexual attraction between them threatens to derail more than just Kreed’s personal convictions as he quickly learns temptation and matters of the heart rarely fit easily into the rules he’s lived by. Will Kreed be able to convince Aaron to open his heart and face the fact that sometimes the answers aren’t always hidden in code?

Review

WHO WRITES THE ABSOLUTE BEST M/M BOOKS EVER?!  Kindle Alexander, that is who.  I just can hardly explain my excitement when their books land on my kindle.  It is so exhilarating, and we can we just take a moment, just a really small but important moment, to appreciate that hot as all get out cover.  Go on, scroll up a little and drool, people.  DROOL!  Goodness.  Any how, I have been dying for Kreed and Aaron.  I knew there book was going to be smoking hot because Kreed is just so well, Kreed.  You know, all cocky and kinda dirty and self assured.  And y’all, I love me a nerdy man.  Like love!  And Aaron is all that nerdy and so much more.  I was not let down one bit by this one, guys!

“Don’t stop, church boy.  I like your mouth on me,”

Ahh!  So good.  OK, so this one can totally be read as a standalone and that is great and all but if you have a choice I would totally read Full Domain as the third book in the A Nice Guys Series.  There are a couple of reasons.  All of the action and plot that has been building in the past two books finally comes to fruition in this book in a major way.  Also, you get to visit with Mitch, Cody, Jace, and Colt and if you don’t know them, they won’t be as much fun to visit with!  Trust me, they are amazing and need their books read right away people.  Mitch especially!

‘Mitch was in his usual attire, blue jeans and a T-shirt, but this one read, “Ass, The Other Vagina.”‘

So, like I said this book was loaded with action that had built from the previous books but it was also full of freaking sexual tension.  I mean, these two didn’t even kiss until like 50% into the book and I was literally dying for that kiss.  But man, was it worth the wait because it was smoking and made to be so very special.  Gah.  I just can’t.  But after that, cue the sexy as heck alarm because this book just went straight to sexy town and was there for a good long while.  HOT, FOLKS, HOT!  There is also a bit of mystery and hilarity that I so enjoy with Kindle Alexander’s books.  They just make me giggle.

“I don’t get my honey where I get my money.  And that’s too bad ’cause you’re fucking adorable.”

So basically another winner from these two amazing authors.  Love this whole series!

“You know what I think it is?”
“I don’t really care,” I state, but I am curious.
“You want me.” He says it so softly I barely hear him. Glancing in my mirror, he’s looking down, his face unreadable, his tone serious.
“Don’t flatter yourself,” I respond curtly, trying to stay resilient. I’ve seen the girls who are associated with his club; he’s a player and is telling me what I want to hear.
He grunts, a smile breaking across his face. “You’re telling me you didn’t like me kissing you the other night? That my hand up your shirt didn’t light a fire in those little panties of yours?” His tone is arrogant. My body responds, my nipples hardening, craving to have his rough touch one more time. Goddamn him, why can’t he shut up?
“I was drunk,” I defend, looking out the windshield.
The car goes quiet, and I’m thankful; his confrontation made me uncomfortable.
“Hey, Rookie?”
“Hmm?” I look in the rearview mirror to see his face. His mouth is parted, the corner of one lip curved slightly as he looks downward.
“How sore do you think you’ll be after I’m done fucking you?”

One bad biker. One gorgeous sheriff.

One intense biker romance.

As the president of the Sin City Outlaw Motorcycle Club, l fuck as hard as I ride and rarely go to bed alone.

The women are fast and the violence is intense.

I excel in both.

People either respect me or fear me. I’m not arrogant. It’s just the truth.

I was a king, reigning over Vegas without complication, until one gorgeous sheriff made everything fall apart.

When I saw her, I became a Neanderthal, wanting nothing more than to be between those legs.

I guess that’s where I went wrong, because my reality was shot to hell real

fucking fast.

One kiss caused her to step over that blue line.

One night in her bed made me a traitor.

And now… we’re both screwed.

The Super Bowl MVP quickly adopted a new hobby—screwing with me.

When I pushed back, he shifted from wanting to screw with me, to wanting to screw me.

But I don’t date players.

And it’s not because I’m one of the few women working in the world of professional football.

A new song had just started, and I was enjoying his company when a voice behind me said, “Can I cut in?”

My head whipped around, even though I had no doubt whom the gravelly voice belonged to.

Michael was gracious. “I hate to share. But I suppose I have been hogging the most beautiful woman at the event.” He let go of my hand and stepped back with a gentlemanly nod. “Thank you for the dance, Delilah.”

Again Brody Easton had caught me off guard. Before I knew it, I was dancing with the arrogant jerk.  He wrapped his arms around me and pulled my body tight against his. Way tighter than Michael had held me.

“Good to see you again, Lois Lane.”

The man had balls; I had to give him that. I looked him straight in the eyes. “Nice to see you with clothes on, Easton.”

“Do you prefer me without?”

“I prefer you on the other side of the room.”

He chuckled. It was a hearty laugh. “That’s what happens sometimes when you decide you want to hang out in the men’s locker room.”

I tried to pull back, but he tightened his grip and held me in place. I craned my neck. “Let go of me.”

“No.”

“No?”

“That’s right. No.”

“I can scream at the top of my lungs.”

“I’d like to hear you scream.” His tone made it clear he meant he wanted me underneath him while I was doing the screaming.

“You’re an asshole. You know that?”

“I do. You asked me that yesterday. For a reporter, you should really try changing up your questions more frequently.”

My eyes bulged.

Easton shifted his hand down to the small of my back before twirling us around the dance floor. Figures the prick can dance.

“Are you seeing anyone?”

“You can’t be serious?”

He ignored my comment. “Would you like to have dinner tonight?”

“We just ate.”

“Dessert at my place, then?”

I couldn’t help but laugh. “Did you hit your head at the game yesterday?”

“On a diet, huh?”

“Yeah. That’s it. I don’t want to go to your place for dessert because I’m on a diet.”

“Well, that’s just a shame.”

Review

Delilah Maddox, the daughter of a beloved NFL player, grew up with football being a major part of her life. It wasn’t a surprise to anyone when she found a way to turn her life long knowledge and love of the game into a career by becoming an on-air football commentator. She worked long and hard to prove herself in the male-dominated field of sports commentating, earning the highly sought-after promotion that her male colleagues didn’t appreciate her getting and thought it had more to do with her “magic vagina” than her knowledge of the game and reporting skills. For Delilah, covering her father’s old team, the NY Steel, is a huge honor, one that, despite what her coworkers think, she worked hard to get, and she’s determined to be taken seriously and respected, so ogling and lusting after the team’s gorgeous, but jerk of a star quarterback just isn’t going to happen.

“You’re an asshole, you know that?”

His eyes sparkled, “I do.”

Cocky. Arrogant. Dominating. Devastatingly handsome. A player on and off the field, Brody Easton, Superbowl MVP quarterback for the NFL’s NY Steel, knows his effect on women and doesn’t just enjoy it, he revels in it. A widely renowned womanizer nicknamed Subway – because like the sandwich shop, he also offers a delicious, twelve-inch hero – by the women he’s “spent time” with, Brody Easton doesn’t do relationships. He loves women – preferably with their backs pressed up against a wall as he pounds into them – but not in a locker room, and he’s made his opinion on that very clear. So when he sees Delilah in his for the first time, which also happens to be her first time in one, he takes the opportunity to prove his point by embarrassing her live and on-the-air during her first interview with him.

“I’m like a fungus. I grow on you.”

Traveling with the team and being in the locker room, Delilah and Brody see each other often and, inevitably, get to know each other and develop a natural repertoire based on their casually teasing banter. He’s very interested – in getting her underneath him for a night. She isn’t into casual sex, so that just isn’t going to happen. An easy, flirty, fun friendship begins to grow, but it’s the crackling attraction simmering between them that becomes undeniable. So when Delilah’s boss orders her to get Brody to agree to an in-depth, one-on-one interview – something he does not ever do – Brody grants her the favor…  but with conditions.

“You’re spooning me? Brody Easton spoons?”

“Only you, baby. But don’t be surprised if you get woken up by my fork.”

Used to winning his games, Brody isn’t just going to accept Delilah’s offer of friendship only and instead begins to pursue her vigorously. When another man steps into the picture looking to date his “friend,” he surprises Delilah by caving in to her conditions: a relationship, dates and exclusivity. Their relationship is just so effortlessly comfortable, sexy and fun, it’s no surprise how quickly they grow close, both finding something in each other that neither of them realized they had even been looking for. But all of his cocky smirks and snarky, pervy comments don’t hide the pain Delilah sometimes sees in Brody’s eyes, pain that Delilah recognizes because she carries so much of her own.

“I’d finally decided to try and put my past behind me. Right at the same time Brody’s decided to come back into his life.”

Masked by all of that arrogant dominance, there really is a great guy. Brody claims to be terrible at relationships and says that he doesn’t do the meaningless, sweet gestures that women claim to want, but Delilah is truly touched by how genuinely thoughtful Brody is, and she is surprised by just how comfortable and easy their relationship has become and they both are a bit taken aback by just how right this relationship feels. They have so much fun together and the sex is scorchingly, searingly, seriously hot, it’s no surprise that they are both falling hard for each other. But will Brody’s past get in the way of their future or will Delilah’s guilt sabotage her chance to move forward and be happy?

“If you take a chance on me, I’ll be there to catch you.”

Brody came off as such a jerk in the beginning, but he grew on me very quickly. For a guy who claimed he didn’t do “sweet,” he sure did sweet well! I liked how Delilah didn’t back down and gave it right back to him. I liked the pace of the relationship and how they overcame the obstacles they faced. I was smiling often, laughing loudly at times and fanning myself on occasion. I may have even swooned over a bundle of sticks! (Just read the book!)

I’m giving 4 flirtatious, fulfilling, footballing smooches to The Baller by Vi Keeland!

Review

“This is the about the week leading up to my brother’s wedding… the week that I now refer to on my blog as the journey of three beards and a mascara brush.”

Twenty-two-old beauty blogger, Marley McCann, is surprised one day outside her LA apartment by her farmer father, Bernie, and her computer nerd/drama queen brother, Paul, who is getting married in a little over a week. In lieu of a bachelor party, Paul wants a week to fulfill their deceased mother’s lifelong dream: a family road trip along Route 66 in their 1980s RV (named Tacy) from California to Chicago, where they will indulge in the mother of all hotdogs. It had always been her goal to travel the country in Tacy with the intention of having a hotdog in every state, and she was nearly there. Before she became ill, Mama McCann had this trip all planned and mapped out. The time has come for the remaining McCann’s to fulfill Mama’s dream.

“Here’s to getting our kicks on Route 66.”

Mixed cassette tapes, aggressive car games, practical jokes gone awry, explosive diarrhea, Funyons and Honkey Dory, the nearly melted butthole incident, presidents’ names as expletives, enough trivia to fill an encyclopedia and an intimidating set of eyebrows: this trip makes the Griswolds vacation look like a trip to the library. The big surprise for Marley, though, is the unexpected, but unsurprising, addition of Porter Smith, her brother’s best friend, her dad’s farmhand/second son and her not-so-former childhood crush. Oh, she’s deep in denial about it, but despite decimating her tender eighteen-year-old heart four years earlier, she still carries that torch for him. She’s been steadfastly ignoring and avoiding all things Porter for the last four years, so the idea of being trapped in the tight quarters of her family’s RV with him for a week is not enveloping her in nostalgic, warm fuzzies.

“Marley McCann is made for me, our souls are entwined, it’s a shame our paths are going in two different directions.”

Porter Smith fell in love with Marley McCann practically the day he met her, upon walking up to the McCann’s farm the day after his family moved in next door. His childhood was nowhere near as idyllic as Marley and Paul’s was, but Mama McCann embraced him immediately as one of her own and their family gave Porter the solid foundation, love and attention that his home life had been lacking. After Paul left for the Army before Marley’s senior year in HS, Porter and Marley grew even closer. He fell head over heels for her, as she did with him, but recognizing that she was destined for something more than could be found their in rural Jamestown, NY farming town, he broke both of their hearts instead by letting her go. He’s never gotten over her, he’s never forgotten what they shared, and he knows, down to the bottom of his soul, he will never love anyone the way he loves her. She is it for him, and he is hers.

“Why does it feel like I’m living out my Kevin Arnold fantasies, and I finally have a chance with Winnie Cooper?”

Desperate to reconnect with her after four years of complete radio silence, Porter attempts to engage Marley. But her heart wasn’t just broken the night he left her behind without a word, it was shattered. Patient and hopeful, Porter slowly but surely chips away at Marley’s walls. They reconnect, and while neither is ready to admit it to the other, the feelings they have for each other are very much still there – right there – and they cannot help but act on them. Smoldering and sexy bearded kisses, stolen romantic moments and a beautiful night under the stars in a tent all add up to something neither can deny. But will past wounds get in the way? Can they be brave enough to put aside their pain and finally tell each other how they feel? Perhaps… but maybe a push in the form of some Mama McCann wisdom will do the trick.

“These hands, they were made to protect my heart, to guide me through life, and to take care of me…”

Gah! What a hilarious book!! This book was tears-streaming-down-your-face, doubled-over-clutching-your-sides, foot-stomping, legs-crossed-so-you-don’t-pee-yourself, unable-to-catch-your-breath-from-laughing-out-loud funny. So descriptive, I felt like I was riding along with the McCanns on the Route 66 road trip. Porter and Marley’s love story was sweet, and while I wished for more, there was even a bit of steamy goodness to be found here. (But, let’s be honest, how much can really happen when you’re cooped up in a camper with your dad and your older brother?) This was a fun, sometimes kooky, sometimes heart-meltingly sweet book. I loved it!

It’s 4.5 raucous, romantic, Richard-Nixon-ranting smooches from me for Meghan Quinn’s The Mother Road.

Brent has never let the loss of his leg in a childhood accident affect his ability to lead a fulfilling life. He sets high goals–and then he reaches them.

And now he has his sights set on Kennedy.
**
When Kennedy looks at Brent Mason, all she sees is the selfish, Abercrombie & Fitch catalogue-worthy teenager who humiliated her in high school to join the popular crowd. A crowd that made those years a living hell.

She’s not a lovesick social outcast anymore – she’s a DC prosecutor with a long winning streak behind her. Brent is the opposing attorney in her next case and she thinks it’s time to put him through a little hell of his own.

But things aren’t exactly working out that way.

Because every fiery exchange has her wondering if he’s as passionate in the bedroom as he is in the courtroom. Each argument and objection only makes him want her more. In the end, Brent and Kennedy may just find themselves in love…or in contempt of court.

APPEALED is a sexy, humorous romance about first crushes, second chances and the final verdict of the heart.

Review

I seriously love this series.  I love Emma Chase’s hilarious writing but I also have fallen in love with these characters so I just wanted to start off saying that I really enjoyed visiting with the characters from the first couple of books in this series and seeing where they are now.  But the main reason why I REALLY loved Appealed is because it is a second chance romance and I am super big time sucker for these types of stories.

“I’m not going to let us fall this time, Kennedy.”

Why do I love these types of books, you ask.  Because they are usually chock full of misunderstandings and angst from the past that is still hanging around making things hard and awkward.  And that my friends is how I like books.  Angsty and hard won love affairs are the very best and this one was pretty point on.  Even though it was loaded with all the resentment and feels of a second chance romance it was also so darn funny in that special Emma Chase way.

“What’d you do to your face?”

“I grew a beard.”

“Well, ungrow it.  It looks like vagina from a 1970s porn film.”

Also, let’s not forget that Brent is a disabled man and this chicky happens to have a thing for a book boyfriend with disabilities.  I mean, its kinda hot to be alpha with only one leg, ya know. 😉  Also Kennedy has zero effs to give about his lack of leg and always gives as good as she gets, never feeling bad for him and always coming with the snarkiness which just made me love her!

For all its humor and sarcasm, Appealed still gave me ALL. THE. FEELS.  And I just fell in love with Kennedy and Brent falling in love again.  Great story and addition to the series!

“I don’t think, ‘Oh, Brent is so strong,’ even though you are.  I don’t think, ‘He’s survived so much,’ even though you have.”  “I just think – perfect.  You’re. . . perfect.”

Blurb:

She wanted a one-night stand…and then he moved in next door.

Paige Bennett is more than content with her life and what she does—and does not—have in it. She’s got a supportive family, a great apartment, and the best friend a girl could ask for; so what if her relationships expire faster than a carton of milk? After a disastrous detour courtesy of poor judgment in the boyfriend department, her plan is back on track and her dream job is finally within her grasp. Nothing can make her lose focus now. Well, nothing except the one-night stand she had with her best friend’s surrogate brother. The one-night stand she can’t stop thinking about.

Adam Reid has always been reliable…the responsible son, the loyal friend, the steady boyfriend. Two years ago, he graduated Magna Cum Laude and is well on his way to making a name for himself at an accounting firm in Denver—a far cry from working as a helper in the Mom and Pop store his parents own in Michigan. But when said store starts failing, he’s the only one who can step in and help. So reliable Adam does what he always does, and he comes to the rescue.

Paige thought Adam was a safe bet because he lives halfway across the country. But then suddenly he’s moving back to their town, and then into her apartment building, and soon he’s worming his way right into her life. If she’s not careful, he might sneak his way into her heart, too…

Review

‘It’s like he’s done some kind of crazy voodoo magic on me. He’s dickmatized me. And that’s really goddamn sad, considering I haven’t seen his dick in nearly half a year.’

I can’t believe I waited as long as I have to read this series and now that I have I am hooked. Each book is so fun and unique that I have devoured them all in a week and sad that I don’t have more to read in this series. Paige In Progress is the third book in the Reluctant Hearts series and features a sassy heroine who refuses to settle down and a man who is a serial monogamist. Both are so far outside their comfort zone that the book is full of intense feelings as well as hilarious situations.

“I think we both know I can be less than a perfect gentleman when it’s warranted.”

Adam is perfect boyfriend material, but Paige does not want a boyfriend. So hooking up with him a while back might not have been the best idea. Both are part of the same tight group of friends and this is the type of thing to make group encounters very very awkward. Thank goodness he lives across the country. One problem . . .  he is back for the summer to help save his parents shop and he wants back in Paige’s bed and in her life, even if she is sure that’s not what she is looking for at all.

‘Somehow this girl has completely rewritten every preconceived notion of what I assumed I wanted in a woman. Erased them all and scribbled in every one of her attributes instead.’

Oh Adam, I could easily make this review a long love letter to this insanely sweet and thoughtful man who has the amazing ability to turn into a dirty talking, protective alpha whenever Paige is around. Anyone who has come across Adam before would never have expected the dirty words that escape through his mouth. He was an amazing dirty talker and after finishing the book I am already desperate for more from him. For me while Paige was hysterical she (like Winter in book 1) was hard to love. She was cynical and constantly pushing Adam away but in the end I warmed to her and was rooting for them both to get it all together.

‘The only way this is safe for Paige is the one way it’s not safe for me. Even still, I’m in. In this with her, for as long as I can get her. For as long as she’ll let me be.’

Brighton Walsh has delivered a story full of one liners and dirty sex that also tears at your heart. She covered all the bases for me to thoroughly enjoy a book and I can honestly say I am looking forward to seeing what she will put out next.
