Synopsis

On the Internet, secrets never die…

Violet can’t imagine anything worse than having her very private, very naked photos strewn across the Internet.

Until they multiply like a virus.

With her name, address, and phone number attached.

And her boss finds out. And a stalker finds her.

Violet’s refuge is a rock star known for going through groupies faster than guitar picks. Letting Jayce get close enough to protect her exposes her secrets—and her heart—to a man whose celebrity could ruin her.

That’s because being a nobody is the one thing that keeps Violet’s photos from making headlines. And it’s the reason she can never fall for a rock star.

Secrets spread like wildfire when a celebrity fans the flames.

REVENGE BOUND is a full-length, standalone novel, and a companion to the Tattoo Thief books. It contains steamy scenes and strong language intended for mature readers

Review

“I fucking love being a rock star.”

Yay! Another Tattoo Thief novel! I was so excited to start reading this since I really enjoyed the first two in the series! But can I just take a minute to say WOOT!! This was by far the best in the series for me! It is rare for me that the third in the series is my favorite but there was literally nothing in this book I did not like! New Adult – CHECK! Rocker – CHECK! A bit of mystery and drama – CHECK! Light BDSM – CHECK! Hells to the YES!

“I know without a doubt that the image of this girl is going to fuel my frustrated dreams.”

I can be honest and say that I was not in love with Violet and Jayce from the first page. They both just kinda grew on me as I read and before long, I suddenly was wondering how I could have ever not loved them. Watching Jayce go from a playboy rocker to a protective and controlling alpha man was both sexy and endearing. I feel like I watched him grow up. Violet comes into this story with a very unique and difficult problem and it is one she is determined to deal with alone. She does not like to be a burden on anyone. What I enjoyed most about her story was seeing her learn to take pleasure in releasing some of her control.

rb

Let me just say that Bondage and Control is not something I see in a lot of New Adult books and I found it to be a great combo! I loved the more mature theme mixed with the freshness of youth. I liked that since they are both relatively young that this was new for them and clearly something they desired and were able to discover together. Also OMG Jayce in control is HOT!

“But I want to have you. And I will.”

Violet has been through so much and literally has the weight of the world on her shoulders. I felt for her the entire way through the book and desperately wanted her to just let go and give over to Jayce. Heidi did a fabulous job in telling Violet and Jayce’s story. The whole time I was reading it played like a movie in my head and I didn’t want it to end.

“You can’t rescue me.”  ” I can try.”

Honestly if you are a fan of hot alpha rockers then you can’t go wrong with this book! While I have enjoyed all of the Tattoo Thief books and recommend reading them all, this story can be read as a standalone. I honestly believe that Heidi’s books just get better and better and I cannot wait to see what she gives us next!

Synopsis

Love. Passion. Respect.

Logan West finally has the one thing he believed unattainable: the fiery woman who challenges, protects, and adores him just as much as she does his young son, Oliver.

After having her world shaken yet again, Cassandra Clarke is ready to move forward, eagerly embracing the beautiful man who has laid claim to her heart. With secrets revealed at every turn, she refuses to lose the only man she’s ever loved.

Not every battle is hers to fight, but she’s never been one to back down. Logan and Oliver are part of her now, and together they are…indestructible.

Review

Indestructible is the third book in the Harmony series by Angela Graham.  There is also a prequel novella, Indulge, that you can pretty much read at any point in the series.  I do recommend reading it, though.  It is deliciously hot and Caleb and Logan are all kinds of sexy in it.  It also gives you some background info that is certainly helpful in understanding some bits of Indestructible.

10540684_10154468315940414_94978562_n

Yay.  Now let us get to the fun stuff.  I have been waiting a long time for Indestructible and it was completely worth every precious moment I spent waiting.  I didn’t realize how much I missed Cassandra and Logan and the whole entire gang until I started reading.  They felt so familiar; almost like family, capturing my heart right away again.  It has been said that I am kind of a prologue ho.  I really REALLY love a well written prologue.  I like to be knocked out of my socks in just the first few pages in a book.  I have noticed that authors who do a prologue well never seem to disappoint me, and the prologue for Indestructible was simply amazing!

“Logan was my prince; he found me, and was worth everything I had to give-my love, my respect, and above all, my trust.

Epic ending or not, this was our story…and one I’d cherish until my final breath.”

Ohh, the feels.  So so many feels in those few short pages.  I was instantly back in Harmony watching my favorite single dad and his strong and stubborn woman play out their story.  I waited so long for Cassandra and Logan to finally make their way into relationship status and now that I am there, I found myself swooning and sighing soo much.  Logan is just so dreamy now that he has his greedy hands on Cassandra.  I fell in love with him even more in this book.

“Say the words, and I’ll take care of it.  I’ll take care of you.  It’s all I want to do…always.”

Indestructible differed in a big way from the first two books in this series and the biggest change for me was the addition of lots of sexy time.  Honestly, after the hell I have been through with Cassandra and Logan, I felt I deserved lots and lots of action this go around and that’s exactly what I got.  Angela has the really great ability to write beautiful sex scenes and dirty talk that seems truly authentic and not the least bit crass or over the top.  I found all three books in this series super sexy.  The first two were more about the sexual tension and wanting and this one was more about the actual act.  Like I said, after all that build up, it was time.

“Do you have my panties?”

“Perhaps.”

Indestructible really is a culmination of all of the events in Inevitable and Irreplaceable coming to fruition.  All of the happenings in the first two books set off a chain of events that test and try Logan and Cassandra in Indestructible.  This book was really “a stand by your man” book.  I loved Cassandra so hard in it.  She was totally a rock and not nearly as bat shit crazy as I would have been in her shoes.

Let us not forget all of the other amazing characters in this series.  I really enjoyed Caleb’s side story drama and learning more about Jax.  I need his book like yesterday.  Also, my favorite little guy, Oliver.  Seriously, this boy has the ability to bring on the ugly tears in an instant and I simply love him for it.  Amazing characters and amazing writing.  I wouldn’t change a thing about this book.  It was brilliant!

“She’s my angel too, Daddy.”

Synopsis

Young, rich, and unaware of how seriously hot he is, Brooks Davison is tearing it up as the latest shortstop for the New York Kings, despite his tendency to blush whenever girls scream his name.

When a health scare forces his best friend, Kyle Roberts, off the team, no one can stomach the thought of replacing him, especially so close to the playoffs.

Until Kyle’s sister, Sasha, steps in, convincing management to let her take his place. The idea of signing the first female player in Major League history proves too tempting for the Kings to resist.

Nevertheless, Brooks doesn’t want any part of it. Sasha is Kyle’s little sister, not some sideshow.

Yet when Kyle takes a turn for the worse, Brooks promises to do everything in his power to help Sasha win a championship for him. Because there’s no way he’s letting either of them down. Not now, not ever.

Excerpt

Lenore, my hair-and-makeup guru-turned-confidante, is putting the finishing touches on my pre-game face, something she recently started doing once we hit the playoffs and the nationally broadcast television schedule. My eyes are puffy from crying all night, but Lenore’s a pro, making it appear like I had eight full hours of beauty rest.

“I don’t know how you’re coping with all of this,” she says, bending down to give me a squeeze. “I really don’t.”

“I’m kind of afraid that it’s all going to be over after tonight because I don’t know what I’m going to focus on after this.” I bite my lip, careful not to smudge my carefully applied lip color.

“That tall drink of water from Oklahoma isn’t enough for you?” She jibes me. “I’ll be more than happy to take him off your hands, free of charge.”

I giggle, knowing how much she adores Brooks. “He’s been my rock through all of this. You know that.” I swivel around in my chair to face her. “But if we lose Kyle…” I take a shuddering breath and close my eyes, willing myself to say what I fear the most. “It’s not going to be the same between us, Lenore. Every time he looks at me, he’s going to be reminded of him. It’s going to get to the point where it’ll become too painful for him to be around me.”

“Is that what you think?” She tips up my chin, her eyes brimming with kindness. “Honey, that boy loves you—really and truly loves you. Do you think he’ll be able to survive losing you too?”

I shake my head, knowing she’s right.

“He’s not going anywhere,” Lenore proclaims, dabbing an errant tear away before it rolls through my mascara-coated lashes. “Brooks is—”

“Brooks is what?”

“Speak of the devil!” Lenore whirls around, shaking her finger at Brooks, who is standing in the doorway. “You shouldn’t be in here trespassing. These are Miss Sasha’s private quarters—no boys allowed.”

“I think I’m an exception to the rule, wouldn’t you say?” He pats Lenore on the back while looking down at me, concern etched across his handsome face. “At least, just this once.”

“Hmmm. I suppose I can give you two a minute.” She rolls her eyes at him.

“No pressure or anything,” he retorts.

She takes the opportunity to swat his butt as she walks by, making him jump. “You could bounce a quarter off that ass. My Lord, I think I’m having a hot flash.” She starts to fan herself before closing the

door behind her, giving us some privacy.

About Collette West

Collette West grew up as somewhat of a jock-nerd hybrid. Entering the world three weeks premature, her dad nearly missed her birth because he had seats behind the dugout for a sold-out, highly-anticipated match-up between two of baseball’s biggest rivals. Not to be outdone, her book-loving mom taught her how to read by the time she was three. A love of the game coupled with an appreciation for the written word were instilled in Collette’s impressionable brain from a young age. No wonder her characters believe in the philosophy: sports + romance = a little slice of heaven.

Splitting her time between the Pocono Mountains and Manhattan, Collette indulges her inner fangirl by going to as many games as she can from hockey to baseball and downloading every sports romance novel in existence onto her iPad. When she’s not clicking away on her laptop, she enjoys walking her dog in Central Park, satisfying her caffeine craving at the Starbucks on Broadway and keeping an eye out for Mr. Right. But above all, she loves dishing with her readers. Email her at collette_west@yahoo.com.

Review

Sasha and Brooks have,  for a very long time felt something for each other. But with Sasha being little sister to Brook’s teammate and best friend, along with him being a very successful baseball player neither have ever expressed their feelings to each other. Until one day everything changes and Sasha has to step up to the mat and do everything she can to keep her brothers place in the game, while everyone waits to see if he will survive the crippling heart defect he has.

In a world of crazy games, crazy schedules and crazy fans Brook’s is her safety and her light in a very turbulent world but can their relationship survive? With Sasha’s brothers, the public, media and managers of the game all coming into play to try and keep these two apart, the baseball games won’t be the only challenges they face.

“We’re light, we’re free, we’re together. And that’s why it feels so good.”

I really loved this story. The language and the flow of the story were brilliant and the characters and plot had so much depth, emotion and drama that I was entertained the whole way through. Having read a few stories with similar backgrounds (the baseball theme mixed in with the romance) I have become familiar with the terms used and found this book has become my favourite within the baseball theme.

Sasha and Brooks were great characters. There was a depth to them which meant I could really connect to them both and it made them seem so realistic, like they could be actual people going through these events.

“He’s a Southern gentlemen to a T, but now I don’t want him to be polite. I want him all over me.”

Sasha was brave, empowering, confident and strong. A definite role model in how she stood up to the media and public and did what she believed in.

“You said that no two were alike. Every one was one of a kind, just like everything snowflake, every fingerprint…every heart.”

Brooks was completely adorable but also sexy when he couldn’t resist Sasha. He stood by her the whole time and didn’t want to let anything come between them.

“I’m gambling everything I have in one hand- my feelings for Sasha, the life of my best friend, the very future of the game.”

The background characters were also great which is something I love, as I feel that sometimes they can get left behind but the brothers and team mates each had their own individual personalities that really shone through.

“You feel me up, make me feel like I’m not lacking anything.”

The plot which although concerned baseball, a theme I have read before, it was really unique because of Sasha’s role within the story. I haven’t ever read a plot line similar to this one and I loved that aspect. The drama came in the form of the media and public’s reaction to Sasha, along with their turbulent relationship and Sasha’s brothers health, all of these aspects came together to make a story I found really hard to put down for a break.

I will 100% look out for more books from this author. This was a brilliant story, with great writing and flow, characters you can love and an interesting plot.

EXCERPT:

He leaned in and
kissed her sweetly, laying his lips on hers. It took about thirty seconds
before Eva decided that wasn’t enough and opened her lips to him while she
reached up and grabbed him on the side of the head. They never seemed to be
able to take it slow, their kisses running hot the minute their lips touched.
Aaron pulled her closer, trying to get her hips as close as he could despite
the tight spot in the car. She assisted, half straddling him as she struggled
to get all the way on his lap, pressing her thigh into his arousal. They
continued to kiss until she moved to get more comfortable, accidently kneeing
his dick in the process.
            “Oh
shit,” he said, jerking his lips and pushing her to the side while he moved his
legs together, trying to protect his dick.
            “Oh
my gosh!” She gasped, hands over her mouth, moving toward him to help but when
he turned away from her to cup his abused penis, she backed away. “I’m so
sorry; I don’t know how that happened.”
            “It’s
… ok …” he struggled to say, his face a surprising shade of red as he tried to
breathe through the pain. She kneed the shit out of him, and the pain was
horrible. He thought he was dying and wished that something would mercifully
cut it off.
            “Is
there something I can do?” She looked lost, normally not kneeing a guy that she
was trying to have sex with. The way he was acting, you would think she had
crushed it.
            “No,
no,” he said, waving her off as he continued to take deep breaths in an attempt
to help the constant shooting pain.
He rested his head
on the window, cupping his penis and breathing deep for what seemed like hours
but was probably closer to minutes before he felt like he could talk again. He
looked at Eva to see her watching him wide-eyed, not knowing what to say.
“Ok,” he said, feeling
like he could breathe normally and move gingerly without feeling like he should
wish for death.
“How about we call
it a night because my jewels can’t take any more attention tonight?”  She laughed at his question, causing him to
stare at her in wonder. “Are you seriously laughing at me? You did this!”
            She
grabbed his arm. “I’m sorry,” she said, still laughing, “I can’t help it. You
look so sad, and I do feel bad. I have a feeling I am going to be very fond of
that part, and I would never do anything to hurt it.” She blinked adoringly at
him, and he laughed despite the pain because she looked so funny trying to make
sure he wasn’t mad at her.
            “Just
know next time you hurt it, I will expect you to kiss it and make it better.”
            She
leaned in with her lips pressed slightly to him. “I would kiss it anytime to
make it better.” She leaned closer and their lips connected in a whisper before
she turned and left to go inside. Aaron was forced to adjust himself yet again,
now uncomfortable for a completely different reason.

EXCERPT

“Eight minutes where I’d rather time didn’t exist.” I whispered watching pain roll across his face in a wave. “Kiss me again.”
With a soft exhale, he brushed his lips across mine, little feathery strokes that tempted me with promises of something more. He used his tongue to trace the outline of my lips before sliding inside, past my teeth, tasting every inch of me, giving me every inch he could of himself. Living in the moment, both of us knowing that it would soon be over.
“Seven.” I whispered against his mouth.
“Go to school,” he urged for a second time. “Make mistakes, Mo. Get in trouble, let Nixon find you sneaking wine into your backpack. Get sent to the Dean’s office, make mistakes,” he said again then licked his lips. “Let someone pick up the pieces of your broken heart, let someone fix what I destroyed.”
“What if I want to drop out and hermit myself in my room?” I refused to look at him.
“That’s not living, Mo.” Tex cupped my face. “I have five minutes left with you, do you want me to use it to kiss you or lecture you on why I’m right?”
I grinned as a tear slid down my cheek. “Both.”
His smile matched mine. “I forget how much you like being scolded.”
“Only if the one scolding has a firm hand.”
“Every last inch of me is firm and you know it.” Tex tugged me into his lap. “School will distract you, it will give you a better future then guns and war, it will take your focus from tragedy to the future. Please, for me, Mo, please try to do normal.”
“Normal.” I shook my head. “Not sure I know what that word is.”
“Normal,” Tex repeated. “Making love to someone under a tree not because you have to say goodbye, but because it’s the best way you can think to say hello.”
My lower lip quivered.
“Normal.” His voice was hoarse. “Marrying the love of your life not because her brother shoots you at point blank range–but because not marrying her would be a fate worse than death.”
He was silent then added, “Three minutes.”
I clenched his shirt with my hands and fought the urge to sob against his chest.
“Normal.” Tex’s voice was barely audible. “Going from country to country, traveling all over the world, not because you have a hit on you, but because you want to see the girl you love smile in every country God ever created.”
I knew the time was ticking by, it seemed the less time we had the faster it went, I guess that’s life.
I was looking at two more minutes, maybe less, with my lover, my friend, and all I could do was clench his shirt in my hands and twist, somehow willing him to stay on the ground rather than get up and walk towards certain death.
“Normal.” Tex moved to his feet, helping me up. “Giving the woman you love two hours of your time, because you can’t imagine spending your minutes, those precious seconds, any other way.”
Tex kissed my mouth hard, nearly bruising my lips before stepping back and kissing my nose.
“Time’s up,” he said gruffly.
“We’re no longer friends.” I said it as a statement, not even a question.
“For two hours I was your lover, your friend, your everything.” Tex looked away. “For the rest of eternity–I’m now your enemy.”
